For those who have attended, how was your experience? I'm thinking about attending the Saturday evening session and was curious if the breweries still pour their top beers at this time or if they tend to run out during the two previous sessions.

What were some of the highlights from last year?

This event is very well run. I have attended the past two Saturday night sessions. I don't recall many of the breweries running out of the top brews. Past highlights include Sculpin, Dragons milk, Kane brewing, and many top Belgian brews. The convention center is huge and the lines are reasonable. I would recommend getting thereabout 30-45 min. Early to get ID'd and entry.definitely worth attending. Hope this helps.

I love the AC Beerfest. This will be my seventh year going. Only one year it was bad which i think was due to the economy. The guy that puts it together does a great job. There will even be an app this year. Sure it gets a little crowded but the wait for a beer is not long at all. Going to the sat night session too. I think the NJCB usually has a table too. Yes, as jeremyf stated, get there around 30-40 minutes early. The line to get in gets crowded.

Just waiting on a pour list. I am hoping Kane will be pouring Head High. I have been wanting to try it.

Going to the Friday Session. Its always a great time. Solid list of breweries represented. Looking forward to hearing the reaction to my hometown favorite. Cape May Brewing Centennial IPA. Try it and you're welcome

I went to the Friday session last year and really enjoyed it. I was introduced to Kane and Carton there, and all their brews were fantastic (Kane had head high, single fin, and overhead last year. I'm sure they'll have head high again. Would love to try the galaxy head high). Tuckahoe also had some great brews. Other non-nj highlights for me were brooklyn blast! and the debut of deviant dales. Ballast point had sculpin and im pretty sure Ithaca had flower power as well. Didn't have to wait in line too long for a brew. I'm going to the Saturday night session this year, and I'm also hoping that they don't run out of anything and that its not a drunken slop fest. I'm sure there will be plenty of great brews regardless.

If you enjoy Kane I highly recommend a trip to the brewery. They now sell 12oz glasses for on site consumption and usually offer a special beer or two each weekend. BA Head High is simply amazing.

I've gone the past 2 Saturday evening sessions and going again this year. As others have said, the line to get in gets really long before they let everyone into the main area. Some of the booths get longer lines as the event goes along, but I've always had a good time. And it's just a good excuse for a weekend in AC.

Definitely a good excuse for a trip to AC! Anyone know about the App that they supposively have? Can you view which beers each brewery is bringing?

I asked about a pour list and they said it will be featured on the App. They mentioned on Twitter that the App will be out mid march. It should be any day then.

Does anyone ever set up trades here like other brewery bottle release parties do?

The APP is now available. Some breweries have their pour lists under the brews section too.

I'll be at the Saturday night session. Staying at the Trop Friday night and Sat night at either the Trop or Trump. I can bring down some NEBCO stuff to trade/share if anyone is interested in meeting up.

Does anyone know if Carton will be at the AC beer fest? They aren't listed on the app or website, so it doesn't look like they are coming. Wonder why... They had a nice setup last year.

I dont think Carton will be there this year. Cape May Brewery will not be there either.

It is a bummer they weren't there this year as goes with Cape May, especially since their IPA took home first place. Anyone ever go to Carton yet? been thinking about making the trip up there.

Carton's a great place to hang out! They were NOT at ACBF nor was Cape May. Bolero Snort took home People's Choice. The Toga Bar in Caesar's had Dayman on tap. It was a 1/2 bbl so it stayed on late into the night along with Sculpin and more.
