I'll be bringing a couple growlers of Haymarket beers. Probably a stout (if they have their whiskey barrel aged stout i'll bring that cuz its mind blowing) and an IPA (if they have their Angry Birds Belgian IPA I'll bring that cuz it won gold at GABF and is very good)

Any interest in me bringing a 4 pack of Daisy Cutter? It's really easy to get in Chicago but I know HA doesn't distribute outside of Cook County

Edit: Also bringing a non BA buddy who will have a Jester King Black Metal, HA Double Daisy Cutter and HA Big Hugs for sharing

Wow I'm an idiot, I just realized it was you that posted that list haha. Guess I was more focused on the list, not the username!

I live here, but am planning to come to the hotel for the party. Suggestion, let's take this party to beer geeks. A small bar down the road that only sells craft beer and is a pretty cool setting.

Yr not going to watch the draft at FFF, only thing you can watcch there is kung fu and soccer. However you might get a special dl pretapping. If you want good beers(on tap and bottled) and watch some sports, def go to beer geeks in higland. Prob about 5-10 min from where yr stayin.

2 post, and you are pushing beer geeks in both....???? What gives? And why would we want to go elsewhere, spend more money, when we can just stumble back to our room?

On top of these good points I like the idea of a wide open hotel lobby as opposed to a bar. Seems like it would lead to more openness in terms of talking to people you dont know as it can be intimidating to walk up to a group of strangers sitting at a table, especially in a dimly lit bar

Was mentioned above, but it is very important to keep it civil in the lobby. We plan on getting started after dinner (around 7:30). Last year we were told that we weren't allowed to have it, but talked the girl at the front desk into calling her manager at home. It went very well, and we don't want to give them a reason to not let us continue to do it every year.

Can't wait to meet a bunch of new BAs. Will have several verticals and other beers to share: sours and stouts for me!

And we talk about it every year but this year I'm just going to bite the bullet and bring name tags this year....would make things so much easier!

Being Civil is super key (as you can tell by the # of times it's been repeated in this thread. Also I like the idea of nametags but I agree that it wasn't going to get done without someone taking initiative. Are they going to be our BA names or our government names? (lol)

good thing I know what he looks like. I have no issue taking lead on grabbing name tags and bringing them.
