I like quality lagers more than most probably and it is great to have a well done Helles fresh and local.

Best canned lager I've ever had! Also goes great with Hell-battered walleye!

Great beer, just too much money. Better alternatives out there for less.

When Hell sits next to Fury for the same price, Fury has won every single time. Im not big on pale lagers in general, but if i do drink them, I grab some Hamms. Probably not going to win in a double blind battle vs. hell, but my pallate approves if its cold!

    Trav,
If Hell is sitting at the same $ as Fury, I would ask your retailer if it is mispriced. It has always been less expensive in the past.

Unfortunately this is my least favorite Surly beer. I'll still drink it, but I typically only have one pint/can a season. Can't justify the purchase based on priced compared to other options and my preference for Bitter Brewer. Still giving lagers a chance, though!

While this style is so boring to me, the aroma of this beer is fascinating as it smells like fresh baked bread. Good beer for when it's 90 degrees outside. I thought Hell was the least expensive out of any Surly four pack. If memory serves me right, it costs me 7.99 last year.

On a related note, Heritage is the only place where I saw Bitter Brewer priced at least a buck below Furious.

Hmm, I dont recall seeing Bitter or Hell priced less then Fury at any store i have been at recently. 9.99 for all. Only exception is Liquor Barrel that always has Fury at 7.99, but even they had Hell right next to it for 9.99. If Hell or Bitter is 7.99, im all over it, but ive never seen that price anywhere.

Bitter has always been $8.49 while Hell has been $8.99 at Heritage....

This beer in my opinion is Todd's best work! It is a hard and delicate beer to brew although it is not my favorite of their lineup I can appreciate a great beer when I see one. Kudos again to Todd on a job well done.
