If this is Fritz and Ken's 30th Anni released in 12oz bottles, I will probably blow my O-ring, as well as my wallet.

Is this the Imperial Oatmeal Stout that was on draught only or something else?

I eagerly anticipate the release of this beer. Sierra Nevada can do no wrong as far as I'm concerned.

I have one bottle of F&K 30th anniv left ... I seriously hope it is the same beer. It was so awesome! Be nice to finally get a SN stout in NC since they won't bother sending us the regular stout.

I think it just didnt come out right and they didnt want to put out a product that didnt live up to their standards. They say it will be out next year, which is also a big anniversary year for Bigfoot.

That price justifies it and honestly makes more sense. But Bigfoot is an old beer and it seems odd to break a tradition.

I see at Brawleys from time to time, but not consistantly.

They weren't making money at the old price, which is why it went up this past year, but they started this High Altitude seasonal 4 pack series so it made sense to change it to that format and price.

Good to hear that Sierra Nevada is releasing an Imperial Stout in 4pks, but I hate to hear that its the same recipe as the Fritz & Kens Imperial Stout, for even though it was/is a really well crafted beer, it is a lil smokier than I like...

It is NOT the same recipe as Fritz and Ken, although it will be similar

I hope we see more of this, than Hoptimum. My local store only got 5 cases total. Was gone before June. I bought lots of it while it lasted. Very excited about the Imperial Stout, hopefully they changed it from the 30th a little.

Last I heard from SN on these forums was that it hadn't progressed in the barrels as much as they would have liked and they still needed to work on the blend. I'm still waiting for that one too!

I was recently at a Sierra Nevada Beer Camp tasting at Rocky's Sub Pub in IN, a rep said that the Imperial Stout will be different from the 30th Anniversary and he had heard they were thinking of calling it Narwhal. How true that is not sure just my 0.02$

I really liked the Oatmeal Stout that was in the Beer Camp Variety Pack. Here's hoping the Imperial Stout is very similar.
