I read this on their page also. I'm really looking forward to this beer, I'm sure it isn't going to disappoint. I love what they are doing over at Karbach, and I'm trying to introduce their beers to my friends and family so others can enjoy their work. Now I just need to get my hands on some BBA Hellfighter when it comes out. I know certain bars have it on tap right now but I'm working offshore so no luck for me :slight_frown:

From what I've heard, you need to blame the distributors, not the brewers, for all the early pumpkin releases lately.

Same reason it's Christmas in Wal-Mart at freakin' Halloween nowadays. Or why Michael's starts Halloween after the 4th of July, lol.

I saw Christmas trees up in force at Walmart yesterday...

LOL. The Garden Ridge in South Austin is so large, I wouldn't be surprised if they had them year-round.

BTW: Fun game to play in Garden Ridge (as my gf is always dragging me there) is try to find a product that is Made in the USA. Hours of fun!

When they started saying "We'll need all your pumpkin beer at our launch date of August 1st, or we won't be needing it." *Zoom out slowly to reveal warehouse filled with Shocktop Pumpkin Wheat as Distributor twirls his moustache and laughs maniacally*

Do we get any Karbach in SA?

Yeah, I have a set rotation so I spend about 6 months out of the year offshore. It makes it hard to get some of the limited release beers but it pays the bills which is the important part.

Karbach has made it very clear on multiple occasions, that they have no intentions to go into any market outside of Houston, now or in the foreseeable future. I guess they're not even able to meet demand in Houston, so that makes sense. Satisfy the locals first, and grow outward.

    Cheers,
    Chad

Exactly that. I was told they are currently on year 4 of their business plan in 1 year. They have grown pretty damn fast and can't seem to keep up with demand.

Sounds like a pretty solid business plan! All kidding aside, good for them. Always happy to see our Texas craft beer brethren doing so well. I just hope they're not too busy to do Big Texas Beer Fest in Dallas next year.

Good on Karbach. That's what happens when ya brew good beer!

They actually just expanded to College Station this past summer, guess they have just enough for a smaller market.
