For those that didn't make it to the GABF, the All Colorado Beer Festival might be a good consolation.

Found the participating brewery list, but no list of what's being poured.

I went to a beer fest that was featured on living social this summer because my ticket was paid for, and I still got ripped off. Fair warning for anyone thinking of going to this without an advance lineup.

I went last year and it was fun but I won't go again. Pretty much every CO brewery was there but last year they were only pouring their regular lineups. If you have been into craft for a while chances are you will have already had 90% of the offerings. However for someone just getting into craft it could be a great way to get exposed to a ton of different beers.

Also, I would never pay full price, definitely not worth it, the groupon is the only way to go.

    Hey Folks!

We are pouring: 8 Second Kölsch, First Cast IPA, and Apis IV.

Hope to see you all there!

    Cheers.

Just got back from the ACBF.....WHAT A FUCKING JOKE! First off, I will give props to Elevation, Pikes Peak Brewing Co, Eddyline and Durango for bringing MORE THAN 1 BEER and something that is not a regular rotation. The rest of you, ESPECIALLY Trinity and Odell, shame on you. Trinity brought 2 beers (Saison Man and Sunna Wit) and Odell brought 1 ( St. Lupulin which is a summer seasonal). Really? Of all the beers to bring, you bring those? And Paradox....you are a new brewery and only bring beer to VIP section? WHY OH WHY would you do that to yourselves? I just started seeing your stuff in stores and you won't even share it with the public at an ALL COLORADO BEER FESTIVAL? Fuck you! I won't even consider buying your beer anymore because you think you are too good to give out some free samples at a beer festival.

I am glad I got to taste Elevation, PPBC's Apple-Cranberry Saison and Durango's Ghost Train and Eddyline's stuff. What a waste of $30.....should have listened to Joshclaus

Avery brought a whopping 2 beers, too: White Rascal and IPA. Lame. Never again will I waste my time or money on that crap of a festival. Great Storm from C/S didn't show up, Trinity had 2 beers, Rocky Mtn Brewery brought 2 beers and 1 was a cider.

i went to the all CO fest a few years ago and wasn't impressed. not as much participation as I'd hope to represent 'all Colorado' and nothing too special being poured. hope it gets better or i can't see this festival continuing.

I'm looking forward to 'Parade of Darks' at the Wynkoop Dec 1.

I share your frustration on this, but...

The breweries bring beers to suit the target audience of the festival. This one was $30. Probably aimed at the non-hobbyist.
Also, please don't blame breweries for their placement in VIP vs not. Probably was not their choice to begin with. Paradox, from what I understand, only makes barrel aged beers. Your experience was more dictated by the parameters of the fest than the breweries, guaranteed.

Again, I totally feel you. But not every brewery can bring every beer to every festival. Come to the next tasting I have, and I'll make this alllllll better.

so this was up on paradox's Facebook page this evening:

Wanted to say thanks to all the folks at the All Colorado Beer Fest for putting on a great beer festival this year.
I've read a post from someone who was bummed because our beer was only available in the VIP area and not out on the main floor. It was not our intention to upset anyone or to come off like we think we are to good for a booth, we just do not have that much beer yet. Our first few releases have been under 100 cases. We are brand new, just starting out, and trying our best to introduce ourselves and beers to who we can. Please hang in there with us as we grow and continue to try to make the best beer we can! (or bottle in our case)
    Cheers!
    Paradox Crew

    -----------------
we spent most of our night in the VIP area, which had some pretty nice beers available to try. nothing mind blowing, but still some tasty, more complex beers. i didn't really go into this one expecting to find anything crazy or limited, but it was enjoyable and raises a lot of money for local charities. it's a rather low key beer fest, not an avery or wynkoop type of event.

I understand that. One of my biggest faults is setting my expectations too high. In the grand scheme of things, I was able to taste beer for 3.5hrs without being shoulder-to-shoulder and got to try and re-try some stuff I haven't had in awhile. Yes, I was really looking forward to trying some Paradox stuff but I never thought of it from their perspective being brand new and maybe not having that much beer yet.
