This was fun to do but admittedly disappointing in the flavor dept.

For the extra euphoric quality hops can bring ( not necessarily taste), id honestly say caldera is my favorite. Its like a legal recreational drug and will ward off any hangover pretty much immediately.

A little XMas eve eve tasting. Stone RIS '05 - '12 Vertical. The verdict is the older the better with this one, definitely. Had some cheese, entree and dessert pairings. Great times with good buds.

    ISO: Older Stone RIS

I'd love to have been able to try the Murda'd with this. I did the same tasting back in November. I had a 2009 Darkness though.

I thought all 4 beers were good, but Black Albert and Darkness were the standouts. Baller Stout tasted mostly like Beer Geek Brunch.

    How was the Murda'd?

We had a vintage brunch since we were trying to use as close to the same batches of everything used to brew baller. The brunch weasel had almost zero coffee flavor remaining which was a disappointment.

Baller seemed to have elements from all four beers but brunch was the least noticable to us, since it had very little character. Dark lord came through more than I would have liked, man that beer is terrible until it is almost 3 years old.

We had a lot of fun making our own Baller blends with the leftovers in each bottle.

Murda'd was pretty good but not a brew I'd care if I never had again.

I'd like to get another DL to age, but that would mean having to get another one.

The only beer out of the bunch I went out and grabbed another quickly was Darkness. The others I'd be glad to drink again, but wouldn't knock somebody over to have again.
