How are they not losing money on this party? So it looks like we wont have people bitchin about this one's price like they did oktoberfest.

Small plates, small pours? It's doable, with quantity. But the margins are super thin.

I'm sure you didn't, I'm sure I didn't either but refer to the early Oktoberfest thread. And don't be confused with the thread bitching about the cost of goose islands Black Friday or the weekly ones about 3 Floyd's. the Great Lakes thread should be renamed the cost bitching thread. I feel like the Jim lahey of the word bitch with this post.

This is a ridiculously awesome deal, imo. $50 for 9 courses with pairings, a taster and a bottle of 3rd Anniversary.

    In for the late session

I don't think it's really gonna be courses. I'm assuming that it will be more like different stations with each dish and small pours of the beers....think events that they do on Top Chef. No way it will be any kind of formal meal or anything.

Also, it says "All food and beer is included in the price of the ticket." And above it also says full beer lineup available at bar. So this is (subtracting the $15 bottle of beer and $5 tasting glass) basically $30 for all you can drink and eat for 3 hours. Anyone else reading it like this?

Need an official reply to clear this up. Reading it exactly as stated, then yes it is all you can drink. However, perhaps that is not how they intended it to sound...

I don't think Rev is doing this to make mass profits, I think this is their way of thanking us and keeping us coming back. I mean they do free buffets at their special releases and they have kicked ass in Chicago since the day they opened up. I see it as a good business model, and as a result I will be attending the late session and will continue to support Revolution as much as possible.

I was pondering early vs later myself. I came to the conclusion to go to the early session. The only reason is so I can take the train back to the burbs in time for the Blackhawks 9:00 puck drop. Other than my own personal reason it doesn't look like the party has any difference between early and late sessions. To each their own.
