Someone fill me in here, does the Reserve Society sell out incredibly fast? Would you expect the Preservation to sell out within minutes? Hours? Days?

Just curious as to how prior years have gone with Reserve.

Also, does that $54 buy you those 3 beers? Or just the guarantee to be able to buy those 3 beers?

Assuming RS 15% discount fron 2012 pricing that's not the case.

    Sans $17 w/ RS discount
Loakal Red $7 w RS discount
Chocolate Rain $34 with RS discount

    $58 RS price > $54 PS price

I should have worded that better, my apologies. I'm thinking of doing a quarter or two of PS in addition to or instead of some allocations. Allocations would probably end up being slightly cheaper if you only wanted one or two bottles from each quarter of PS, but some of the quarters are really tempting to buy into to pay a few bucks more for a bottle of something that doesn't appear available through RS yet. Correct me if I'm wrong of course, but the Imperial Loakal Red and Weizenbauch haven't popped up in any RS stuff. I personally think Q1 and Q3 do look better to buy into instead of buying Chocolate Rain, Sans Pagaie, Cherry Oude Tart, and White Chocolate using allocations/discount.

Usofar summed it up much better than me haha.

@Whiskey: Buys you those three beers and from what I've seen gives 10% off Bruery bottles/merchandise and gives allocations you can then buy.

I think a lot of you guys are confusing yourselves by thinking the list of Reserve Society Exclusives is going to be analogous to the Preservation Society.

Yeah, just because the asterisked beers are reserved for the three tiers doesn't mean all three tiers have access to all the asterisked beers.

Well we do only have on more day, hopefully, to work ourselves into a fervor before we actually get the real info... =P

I was just going off if the flyer posted earlier which I questioned the validity of. Black Tuesday and White Chocolate I can see being Preservation Society. It also lists Chocolate Rain, SIR w/ kumquats and Oude Tart w/ cherries as included beers. I guess we'lll all find out in a few hours.

    Hey Guys,

The flyer we sent out is not accurate-- we had a bit of miscommunication between departments and I apologize for that. Preservation Society will be wonderful, and it'll focus on beers that are not typically available through our distribution (there's a few exceptions to that, such as Oude Tart and Rueuze). RS / HS exclusive beers will not be sold through the Preservation Society.

    Cheers,
    Patrick

Always appreciate your upfront and honest approach and the direct communication Patrick. It's your business to run and the changes are yours to make. I can only speak for myself but I'm really excited to see what this year brings for you and the Bruery (particularly the blueberry sour). Cheers and thanks for making great beer!

So... does that mean no chocolate rain or black tuesday?

Beautiful new website. Just completed the signup for the Preservation Society. Throws a pop-up box saying you've been upgraded to level 1 and the preservation society logo appears next to your login name in the upper right corner.

I’m a bit confused… if you click on PS, there’s a Brewer’s Picks section, which shows Melange 3, 5 Golden Rings, and Autumn Maple. Are those the beers for the first season of PS?

Nope, it's simply a list of beers they are recommending to also look at. Add-ons basically.

So we're in the dark on what the package of the three beers is then, right?

That's what it sounds like now. Least we have the official word that the flyer was inaccurate. Sorry all, didn't mean to add on to any confusion.
