    WTF?

You're entitled to do whatever the hell you like with your tickets, naturally, but to come on here & brag about gouging the shit out of someone...well, that takes a massive misunderstanding of the fine beer community in the Twin Cities.

Hope I don't see you. Wherever.

For each his own but I must say this is the kind of guy that could sell a ketchup popsicle to a woman in white gloves.

Just couldn't justify this one this year. Winterfest $75 for 3 hours of event or Firkin Fest $50 for 6 hours of event. I understand that the MN Craft Brewers Guild really bring the heat for this event but holy crap! I am waiting for the first single evening event thats 3 hours and costs $100 for a ticket or $150 for a VIP ticket. Prices seem to go up 20% every year. Well have fun all and I'll see you in a couple months at the Gnome for Firkin Fest.

I'm bummed I'm going to miss Firkin Fest this year. I'll be in San Francisco for the Game Developers Conference. So I am requiring with my friends out there they gather up some local Bay Area/California beers I can't get here and I'll bring out some tasties they can't get there (I'm thinking a nice Darkness vertical '10, '11, '12 and some homebrew with maybe some others should suffice). Its nice to see they're expanding Firkin Fest to 6 hours, but I hope that doesn't mean they're going to sell as many tickets as 2 years ago or it'll be a crap fest again of waiting in line for 30 min for a beer. I'll be at Winterfest for my second year in a row though and for the quality of beer and the environment I feel the price tag is worth it IMO. However I don't mind dropping $125+ on a ticket to Whiskey Fest which is only 4 hours and with scotch/whiskey you aren't going to try all that many unless you want to be dragged out of there while passed out.

I do feel if they keep raising the price though depending what they have for the food this year, they may need to turn it into a real quality food/beer event with more/better food and not just fancy appetizerish like food.

The reason why the are charging such a premium for Winterfest tickets is because there is such a high demand and only 700 tickets, thats why they sell out too. I missed the window this year, as I have for the past few. Beer festivals are on the rise, I'm guessing tickets will keep going up. Not that it bothers me, I will still attend if I can get my hands on tickets, face value or scalped.

Good thing they put Northbound on the first floor and North Gate on the third floor. That should alleviate some of the confusion.

OK so I've got an extra ticket, I don't want to make any $, just want $80 for it. That's $75 plus the fees.

To make it interesting I have selected a number between 1-38 (the number of booths at Winterfest). PM me with ONE guess for your chance at the ticket. If you win there are two conditions:

    1.) Cash payment
2.) Please use the ticket for yourself or a friend, no reselling/profiteering
