Gene has always spoken down to alcohol and those who imbibe. This won't be, however, the first time he has made a business investment in an arena for which he has no interest in. I seem to recall a Swedish KISS lager.

That said, I will not poo-poo a place who will be bringing more craft brews into circulation.

This may be trite, but does anyone else find the name Rock and Brews kinda clumsy? Surely someone could have come up with something more catchy.

It won't be about the beer. I guarantee it.

To my knowledge this place has been open for over a year... I guess now he's just putting his stamp on it

Agreed. Even the simple (and somewhat logical IMO) change to "Rockin' Brews", while still clumsy (and cheesy), is at least a snatch better. (hhhhhuhuhuhh huh huh - I said snatch. I suppose "Snatch and Brews" is next. Wait.... that actually does sound nice   )

He might be a "whore" but he's a marketing genius. Pretty good music (not great), great shows, and all the merchandising. He's a rich "whore".

This is going to end up like "Toby Keith I love This Bar". After a year it will be a BMC pump house for people to get wasted and listen to bad local/cover bands. Any bar with their name attached to a celebrity like Gene has one purpose... Make money at any cost. If it suits them, they will sell the blood of Jesus for a %200 mark up.

The beer list IS actually beyond decent: http://rockn.com/

... Granted I am in Louisiana, so of course that's a good looking list in my eyes. Maybe a local Californian would find it just meh though...

It doesn't matter what rock musicians' favorite foods are. There are enough star-struck people out there who will flock there to eat the same things musicians eat based on [mis]representations - whether the musicians eat the particular item or not.

I really like going to this place, its one of my favorites in Las Vegas. A great combination of butt rock and craft beers. Oh? What? This isn't Aces N Ales in Las Vegas?

Well, imitation is the most sincere form of flattery.
