ok, I didn't think I'd find the stuff, but lo and behold, I walked into my bev center as they were unpacking their entire stock: a whoppin' 6 bottles.
grabbed one! had it while cooking dinner. It's my first barleywine. It's very nice, but hate to admit, this stout-centric girl still prefers bcbs.

Ya I'm curious to try it, but am dubious of the assumption that putting a beer in a barrel makes it better. I like regular fresh BF, aged is hot or miss for me, so I'm not sure if BA BF will blow me away.

After finishing a bottle of this stuff i realize it's going to be extremely hard to keep my other 2 bottles in the cellar and not in my stomach.

i'd say that this was literally the hardest release to find that hit distribution. finding a store that actually got any is a pretty big challenge by me.

Wow, to think my buddies almost passed on going to Chico get some and just say, "we will just pick it up off shelves." Sucks to hear the beer is so hard for many to get. Hopefully in the next couple of years, Bill and gang will get the program to a higher amount so that chasing the beer truck won't be necessary.

Came and went. 1 case at most places, 1 bottle limit. Only way most of us we able to score a handful of bottles was by going up to Chico. I will be making the trek up for most releases now, I don't want to have to scramble to find a few bottles, when I can just go up a couple hours and get plenty. The brewery rocks too.

Mine says 12.2 ABV. Bigfoot is great, nicely hoppy, can't imagine what BA for it.

I spoke to the SN rep at Tops in PHX the other day as he was making his rounds.

He said "expect late February" he had the nice SN book with all the fancy pictures of the beers though...so at least i got to see a picture of the bottle lol..

2 cases for the entire state of Maine? Really? It's not even going to be sold...each shop is being gifted a bottle from the distributor...none of which will come to me...couldn't be more bummed...first world problems I guess...

Was at the Friar Tuck in Crestwood, Mo(St. Louis county) today and asked a few guys that work there about BA Bigfoot. All their stories were the same and said they should get it and it will be a one bottle limit. No price has been set so far.

Not sure of the law. I tried looking around for ABC laws in NJ, but couldn't find an exact answer on this issue.

Stone beers have etched labels, as do many beers that are sold in NJ. I'm just reciprocating information that was told to me from a NJ distributor. He said that the label was not approved for sale here. While I am not 100% sure that all of NJ will not being getting BA Bigfoot, I do know that the one distributor that I contacted, will not be. All I am really trying to do is help out people that are in search of this beer.

Hopefully I can find some in NYC.
