Hands down Hopstoopid. Green Flash Imperial IPA is damn good as well, and is about $5.70 for a bomber where I live.

If you want to think outside the lines a little bit, I'd try fresh barleywines such as Sierra Nevada Bigfoot, and anyother hoppy west coast barleywine you can find. They're arguably quite similar to an imperial IPA.

You're telling me . . . as imperial stouts go, not too high of ABV at 7.50, but it is the base for a lot of GREAT beers from CW and I don't understand why it doesn't get more love. I think it taste a lot like a little thinner version of Obsidian Stout, which gets MUCH stronger ratings.

Yep, I buy Maximus all the time. For $9.99 a sixer, it's hard to beat around here.

Great beer, but flawed logic as it's not an imperial.

I think Torpedo counts as a IIPA, and I usually get it anywhere from $13:99 to $15:99 a twelve pack. And it's a damn good brew.

It's already been said, but Lagunitas Sucks a fantastic double IPA bargain. As far as an Imp Stout deal, it's hard to beat Green Flash Double Stout four packs.

Double IPA gotta go with Hop Stoopid.
Imperial Stout my vote is for either Founders or Sierra Nevada both go for $10/4 pack.

Harpoon Leviathan and SN Hoptimum are very good DIPAs at the same price/oz. Likewise for SN Narwhal and Founders' Imperial Stout, although most of the time I won't hesitate to pay the slight premium for Bell's Expedition Stout

If arithmetic is challenging for you, then yes, this is the best deal for the money. But at $4.99 for a bomber (as it costs in MN), that's equivalent to $16.33 for a 6-pack, or approximately the cost of Hopslam. Some people in other states claim they can get it for $4. That's still a $13.09 six-pack. I can get Sucks for $8.99.

Better put your hands back up.
