I couldnt agree with you more. This is my favorite DIPA. I still have some and i think it is holding up great. I'm saddened that it will be gone at some point and will be a beer of the past.

Nope that's Endeavour. Pro-Am is closest to Surly Abrasive IMO.

At least we are getting closer. I sent a ProAm to MN as an extra in a trade for Abrasive and he liked it a lot. That should say something.

If your ever in San Diego try it on tap at the brewery. So fruity and tasty right up there with Alpine.

Left Texas to visit my brother in Florida, and took the opportunity to try the Cigar City (regular) Jai Alai IPA. The fruitiness in both smell and taste was awe inspiring. The citrus quality of this was unlike anything else I'd ever drank. Off the charts refreshing. 7.5% and no alcohol taste noticeable. This stuff could be dangerous. Also had the Southern Tier IPA and Bell's Two-Hearted Ale. ST was a standard taste profile for an IPA; strong hoppy bitterness...but quite good. Reminded me of the Saint Arnold Elissa. The Bell brew was halfway between the Southern Tier and Jai Alai in terms of hoppiness and fruitness...wonderful in it's own, balanced way. Oh, but that Jai Alai...my mouth was watering as I was drinking it. Thanks for tolerating my rambling.

I've heard nothing but great things about Jai Alai. As far as Sculpin goes though, it's good, but I don't think it's as good as the hype makes it seem. Give me Stone Enjoy By or a fresh Lagunitas Sucks and I'll take that over Sculpin any day. Hell, fresh DR11 is worthy of being in that discussion as well.

I too recently visited Florida and had the great pleasure of trying a few Jai Alai IPAs...very jealous this is not available in Texas.
