Oh no...I was saying there was another Parabola label approval 2 weeks ago. So, this was a second one for this release of Parabola.

It says Dr. Fritz Briem on the side, and that's the label I remember seeing. It's also for a 30L keg. But the ABV is strange like you mentioned.

I tweeted FavBrandsHOU & BUnitedInt asking why the 1809 label says 8.7 and B. United responded thusly:

"We're not sure. There isn't enough grain in the batch to get that high anyway. Must be a mistake."

It's label approved. Don't ask too many questions.

I think that you're imagining at least a good deal of that.

You have one post from a guy that's clearly full of shit, a post from last August, and a post claiming that their Prairie beer was infected—which, if it was a Noir variant, it very possible was.

    Your point?

The overarching point was that vanilla noir being infected, which some no doubt was, turned into people claiming that five or more beers were infected. The whole thing got a bit out of hand. That is all.

Including Stickee Monkee (http://www.beerpulse.com/wp-content...ee-Bourbon-Barrel-Aged-Central-Coast-Quad.png and http://www.firestonebeer.com/beers/products/stickee-monkee) - up to now, only seen as a component of the Anniversary Beers...oh, boy!

How could it be a mistake when the certificate of approval says the tested alcohol content is 8.7%?

Could be a typo. 8 is right above 5 on the keypad.

So whoever set the type on the label made the same typo as the person at TABC who made the typo twice on the stated and tested alcohol content?

Order was placed this week for 1809 by Favorite FWIW. Obviously I will be buying it all for the bar I work at. Good luck finding it elsewhere

Unfortunately that doesn't explain the 7, when everything I've seen says it's 0.

7 is only 3 keys up from the zero on the 10-key. Pretty obvious it was also fat-fingered.....
