Here's this: http://www.dogfish.com/brews-spirits/thee-schedule.htm
So sad to see Fort go. My mother and I share a bomber of it every Christmas eve, and it's sad to see that it's probably not coming back.
where's the gosh darn d'extra?
glad to see WWS back in rotation!
Hmmmm, wonder what the "background music" will be for that "Boot" clip.
American Beauty coming in October!!!
So happy to see WWS come back!
WWS was available last year. The hell are you two talking about? Come back...when did it leave?
Glad HellHound is sticking around.
Did they brew WWS in 2012? All I have seen were 2011 bottles.
there are some bottles with a jan 2012 date but I believe that's the only batch this year.
They brewed WWS in Dec of 2011 and released it in Jan of 2012.
According to the 2012 Release Schedule, it was not brewed this year.
I found a case of wws for 197+tax. Worth it? I would pass some off to buddies, drink 1 or 2 and age some. Should i go for it?
I think that's a great investment. The price per bottle is good and they age so well.
Which year? If it's 2010 or older, grab it, assuming you know it's been stored correctly. Otherwise, you could probably save about $20/case if you just go to Total Wine & More once next years batch releases.
I'm pretty sure it's a 2012. I'm gonna stop in tomorrow and pick it up if it's still there. I'll let you guys know.
I also found a case of dfh 75 minute about a month ago, picked it up and wasnt disappointed. Have about six bottles left. Found another case yesterday for around 110+tax. Worth picking it up again? I have buddies who love dfh and have/will gladly take some off my hands and i'm happy to help them out. I'd be glad to send a few your way if you'd like.
$197 a case for a beer that's usually $8 a bottle? What am I missing here?
I guess it's just the initial cost that makes me shy away from it; I'm one of those guys who will put up the money to buy a case so friends can grab a few without searching high and low. Like i said I'm gonna go pick that WWS case up tomorrow if it's still there. If anyone wants some just let me know.
Found some 2009 WWS at Discount liquours in Milwaukee a few months ago... just $10 a bottle, was awesome. Sad to see fort go, but HOLY SHIT that was a strong beer. You could probably use it to strip paint. Had no idea that it was 18% until I took a sip, had to look it up online after my face got blown off.
It caught me off guard too. I drank one before doing some painting not knowing it was so strong. Looked it up after realizing I was basically drunk and painting.
I've seen the 2012 for $8 as well. The $197 seems to be a bit high although there probably aren't many places to get that at this point.
I still miss Squall DIPA. was sorry to see that go this year.
Give me a reason or two not to buy this case. I want to so bad.
That's a good price. They wanted $212 for a case at the brewpub
Did they ever say what "Brand X" was this year? Or was it just pushed back to 2013?
Who said Fort's not coming back?
This is really what I'm sad about. IIRC, they teased us that Squall was going to become annual / seasonal, then canned it altogether in favor of 75. I loved that beer ...
Oh man, I will definitely be ISO Noble Rot. Love that beer.
Can't wait for American Beauty to hit. I hope it's as good as the album. A tall order for sure...
All of this. Like!
That does suck, one of my favorites. Must be super expensive to make though.
Theres a few I'm looking forward to next year. American Beauty, Noble Rot (still haven't tried it), Birra Etrusca and whatever Brand X will be this year. I'm glad WWS is back but I'm very sad to see no Fort still. I was hoping they'd alternate years. No WWS and Fort in 2012, yes in 2013... but still no Fort
I'm a little unusual, in that I prefer fresh WWS to aged by a wide margin. Something about the strong alcohol gives it a really wonderful booze-soaked Raisinettes character that eventually transitions into a sickly sweet caramel flavor over time that I don't find as appealing. In other words: Can't wait until it re-enters the rotation and I can pick up a few fresh bottles.
People were probably thinking of this.
Will not miss Fort ONE BIT
Burton baton promoted to year-round? Really? Maybe I missed something last time I had it.
it was year round last year as well.
90 min got me started in craft beer!
So with these dates, is there a reason I've only been seeing 2012 My Antonia and 75? I guess I should wait until the next batches. I've been wanting to buy those two for a while, but I guess I refuse to buy hoppy beers over 5-6 months old.
Mama, mama many worlds I've come since I first left home.
