Hallmark's holiday is this Sunday. I picked up a card and the new Coldplay CD for the wife, she will be happy. However, I am looking and thinking of a fun beer to have on Valentines. I am planning to make something nice at home, and want a nice beer that is suitable for the occasion to go with it. What does the BA community suggest? Go for a red hued beer, a chocolate beer, or a aggressive IPA? What are you having for V-Day? Bonus points for suggestions within my distribution (Boston and North MA)!!

Get a Bomb! since they're around now. You want something chocolatey and warm - it's friggin' 12 degrees outside right now.

I Love You With My Stout - Evil Twin

I'm not the biggest fan of ET, but my wife got a kick out of it when I bought her a 4-pack last year.

Do I need to answer this? Seriously, go with your first instinct. It won't disappoint.

And only gonna get colder!! Stay inside, cuddle up, its cheaper and you'll get more points. Bomb! was good, but a little too much for the wife.

Perhaps a Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout? Should be pretty readily available, per their finder.

It's too late now, but next year homebrew a double chocolate rose petal stout with diamonds.

Raspberry Chocolate Ale by Boulevard. I've heard some good things. Don't know if it's available in your area though. I also haven't had it myself (mine is in my cellar), so I'm operating off of what I just heard about it tonight.

If you can get Yard's there go for Yard's Chocolate Love Stout.

I don't know about the beer, but take back the Coldplay CD and get this instead:

no cinnamon would detract from the subtle flavor of the rose petals and diamonds.
