The beer is nothing to write home about.

My selection of Criterion titles includes "all" of them ;)

Not recent, but Blu-rays at the time:

one of those is beer related....

  12. That's amazing! I've been collecting for around ten years and probably have half of them. Haven't been buying as many in recent years but I've updated to blu-ray and bought a bunch of those releases. How did you get the early OOP titles like Killer, Hard Boiled, Dead Ringers, Robocop, etc.? I thought about buying them on eBay but they get really expensive and there are a lot of bootleg/fake editions out there.

I bought them while they were in-print. Bought my first DVD player in 1997

  14. Very cool. Do you have any of the old laserdisc titles like King Kong, Akira, Citizen Kane? I never had a laserdisc player but it would be cool to have some of them.

  30. Which one is beer-related? I am amazed! I am currently going through my college's Criterion collection (over 100). Actually, I was thinking of making a similar thread. I was just thinking of what people would think of to drink for a movie, which I guess is similar. I am trying to make a connection between Straw Dogs and Weyerbacher's Heresy. I currently have out all the Luis Bunuel films they did, the Orphic trilogy, Naked Lunch, Seven Samurai, and Man Bites Dog.

STRAW DOGS and Weyerbacher's HERESY (?)
  31. And here was I, happy for having 20 something Criterion... Kind of the same feeling as seeing some BA's cellars.

    Great collection anyways.

Not that the beer deserves it, but should be spelled Tsingtao (or Qingdao, the actual city name). Apologies for being a stickler, but I was a Chinese major, and....I...I just had to
