This is a good a time as any to start this thread. Please post if you hear of this hitting anywhere
In on sightings!
My guess is next week, because I will be out of town.
Just told Houston area might be 3-4 weeks before delivery. Hope it isn't too limited, one of my normal CA places to buy only got 1 case this year for some reason when they were expecting 4-5. Hoping my hookup here in TX comes through with a case for me.
Houston got this around early-to-mid December last year if I remember correctly. Hoping that this years is better than last years tobacco bomb
Fresh, I will agree with that, to the point that I did not want to hold on to the bottles. Though I just had an '11 a couple of weeks ago, and it was phenomenal. Everything was so well integrated and well rounded. I would highly recommend opening one now.
Good, because I'm opening 1 (of the 4 I have left) for Thanksgiving tomorrow.
I just broke open a 2011 tonight, amazing. Looking forward to the 2012
Just 1 left after this.
I hope this hits in numbers as big as XXIV, but fear it'll be hoarded hardcore. In 1 year it'll go from a beer that lasted a few weeks to one that lasts 1 day.
I'd like to get two bottles.. one to drink and one to save for a year.
That's my goal. If its abundant the I grab an extra for a trade partner.
Good to hear, because I'm still sitting on a case.
My father-in-law had 4 of these sitting on the shelf - so I made him bust one out yesterday.
Just bought a few 11 at DQ on Thursday, great find on the shelves, plan to open one soon.
My father-in-law has Lone Star on the shelf (of the fridge) if I'm lucky, LOL.
keep working on him. When I met my father-in-law in 1992, his fridge was stocked with Coors light. lol. After getting him to the local micro brewery a couple of times, he started to come around. I remember a few years ago when he said to me something to the effect of...."I really only want to drink imperial stouts". I think his favorite now is Mephistopheles, but his go to is Black Butte porter.
keeping an eye out still...
My store will get it next week...I think. Maybe the week after that. As soon as my distributor gets it, I'm getting it! I'm in Fort Worth, work at a store in Westlake.
Promises are a dime a dozen in the world of distribution. Keep asking and fighting for it, but this threads about verifiable proof of it landing.
Well, my reps have yet to let me down. I get everything I ask for. Luckily my store moves a lot of beer, and good beer at that.
I just couldn't remember when he said it was being released. I ask about so many things every time they come in, I sometimes loose track. I have a lot of customers who come to me for all the uniques, seasonal, what have you.
I'm surprised there is still no update on this. Usually I hear something a week or two ahead
I heard it is still not in Texas yet...
Your Jedi mind skills are weak.
Its here and sitting... So I hear... And we're getting shorted again.
Well that's just great. I
I do love the beer, I have about a few years in the "cellar"... an '08, '10(four of these) , and '11, and I'll buy all I can get my hands on this year, but ya know what?
...Yeti is better, and I can get it most any time.
Salesmen giving false info today then...
I did pick one up last week though... Figured it would be scarce here. It was great!
Pretty sure this will hit Austin, after afore mentioned teeth pulling. My best guess is either second or third week of December. Paitence.
It's not relased in TX just yet. I am waiting with bated breath....
I hear mid-Dec. be patient
Gonna be a while gents... We all know how long other specials took to get to Texas... *COUGH* rumpkin *COUGH*
Lets hope the distributors get out of their spat with the stores so, we can get this sooner.
Hasn't even hit San Diego yet for fucks sake. If it hits TX first I'll be pissed!@
considerinf what you guys have in your own back yard, that's a pretty crappy attitude!
Typical Califonian whiner. Go drink some Alpine and pull yourself together.
It was a joke. Love mean spirited BA's though. Carry on.
PS...as a gun toting conservative.....I am not your typical Californian
It's really hard to tell when people are joking in plain text. Let's be friends, k?
