A letter from a baby boomer in the most recent BA magazine got me thinking. How many BAs are boomers (born between 1946 and 1964)?

    1958. Best year ever.

Could this be a poll? Know we can make them, might be easier to keep track if lots of people respond?

I'm not, but my dad is. I wouldn't necessarily call him BA, besides not being on the site, but I have turned him to good beer. We did a tour at Harpoon a couple years ago, at one point the guide asked what the thee worst things for beer are (looking for air, light and heat) he pipes up, "Bud, Miller and Coors."

We need our own section of BA so we can post without having some kid who had his first beer five years ago replying, calling us "dude", and disputing our beer knowledge/experience :)

  18. I'm an early boomer from 1948. You're never to old to drink good beer!

Sometime in the past couple years, there was a thread here on BA that was a poll of BA's by age group. I don't know what the boomer percentage was, but my 60+ age group was something like 5% or 6%, maybe even less.

For many years the Baby boom generation was grouped as 1946-1960. Then it was continually refined to include now up to 1964. I was not originally in, but now am. I have always thought of the generation as from the end of WW2 to the assassination of JFK. I make that group by a week.

And I've turned quite a few kids in their twenties, whose only experience with beer was overconsumption of cheap, BMC crap, into craft drinkers.
