Not to be rude, but isn't this obvious?

Beer doesn't inherently make you fat... It's whatever you take in over your maintenance level that does. Whether it's soda, candy, or beer....

You'd think so, but I've known many a person who thought that beer gives you an actual fat(ter) belly, regardless of outside factors.

And the fact that alcohol's 7 calories per gram cannot be stored like fats and proteins, thus your body's ability to burn fat, utilize protein, etc, is interrupted until all that alcohol is used up. Guess what happens when you drink and snack on shitty foods, and especially so when you combine that with what Azrael just said.

Calories in vs. calories out. That's all it is. If you burn 2500 calories a day and you eat 1000 calories worth of butter, you will lose weight (very quickly and unhealthily). Your heart might not last long, but that's the truth. It's true of all calories.

Another thread about weight maintenance/health. Over/under in how many minutes it takes for this thread to be locked? :)
