Really wish that New Glarus would do their Iced Barleywine again...I traded my one and only bottle as an extra to someone for a Dark Lord, which I'd been trying to track down for forever. I didn't really care for the DL, and never got to try the NG, which I'd been patiently cellaring since we picked it up on our Honeymoon. I felt like I needed to give the guy something good though, cos he selflessly gave me a TON of goodies w/out any request for particularly nice stuff in return!

Also, Durham Brewery's Something Blue (great brew!) and Boulevard's Collaboration no. 3. Oh, and GI Fleur.

Man that beer was great! Been awhile but I remember it fondly, the alcohol was so well hidden, that was a great brew!

It definitely was! And here's a pic of the Stone rep letting me try it for the first time back in 2011:

Again, I liked Cerise a lot. Great summer beer. Not sure if they are NEVER brewing it again. Hope not.

I loved Left Hand's Fade to Black Vol. 2, which was one of my favorite smoked porters. It was made worse for me that Vol. 3 was (to me) a very unpleasant pepper beer. I'm enjoying this year's Vol. 5, a nice malt and rye mixture, but I still miss Vol. 2, probably the best beer I've had from this brewery.

Curiosity # 5 from Tree House was an excellent 1 time IPA. Very, very good but I dont think we'll ever see it again :(

...fortunately it was basically just a combo of green and julius which are not gone forever :)

I can't believe that it took until page 7 for Brute to be mentioned. One of the best beers that I've ever had, and I'd love to get my hands on some more! (Hint: if anyone has a bottle or two to trade, message me)

I don't get all the comments on New Belgium / Alpine Super IPA being missed. I thought the beer was solid, but not up to the level of real Alpine IPAs. Make a friend in California and have them send you some fresh ones....

Widmer's Drifter Pale Ale was a nice pale ale that was pretty readily available in the NW that they no longer make...

Left Hand brewed all of the prior fade to black beers this fall. May not be in your area but they did bottle some in mixed packs.

Stone 15th Anniversary. It was pretty much the only black IPA I've ever liked. Of course, with Stone, there is always a chance it could come back.

Perseguidor. Had it on tap once and had no idea how rare it was. Assumed I could get it whenever I wanted and/or once a year. This was back in my less than knowledgeable beer days.

After reading through much of this thread, I've been reminded of an old classic. Bell's Batch 7000. Double imperial stout. I've never seen a more dark/aggressive head. (Save the jokes)

Yeah. Super IPA was just a tease at what Alpine can really do. I could have sworn that they were going to be in next year's super-collab beer camp pack, guess not.

Fresh Alpine beer is worth a Southern California vacation.
