I'm a big fan of Highland Oatmeal Porter and Bells Porter.
Black Butte is probably the best one, followed very quickly by Odell Cutthroat. But as an every day easy drinker gotta give some love to my hometown brewer Boulevard and their Bully! Porter.
Founders and Smuttynose easily for readily-available 6er porter in MA. I've had EdFitz and I'll cosign on the love, I wish I could get it here. Same goes for Black Butte; absolutely fantastic brew. I have to give some love to Boulevard's Bully! Porter, as well. All great breweries making a great style.
Edmund fitzgerald, founders porter, Smuttynose robust porter,
Bells porter, Sierra Nevada porter
Troegs Dead Reckoning & Founders.
Great Lakes Edmund Fitzgerald (year around)
Founders Porter (year around)
Three Floyds Alpha Klaus (November seasonal)
Founders obviously, But I also really liked Bar Harbors Porter which I have had most recently
Best 6 pack porter: Sierra Nevada
Best 22oz. porter: Smuttynose Baltic porter or Firestone Walkers Reserve
Founders. I personally didn't enjoy Bell's at all but I could have had some bad bottles.
I agree on the Smuttynose. That's my favorite Baltic porter, and I'm a big fan of the style.
Forgot about the Bar Harbor Porter. +1 for me!!
Generally the only 6-pk porter available here in Spokane is Black Butte, so it wins by default.
Ed Fitz followed by Founder's Porter
The soon to be released 6 packs of Revolution Eugene
and then if we're counting baltic, Gonzo of course
I will look out for the Arcadia Porter, they produce a quality product,Thanks
Summit's Great Northern Porter take the cake for me. I don't understand why it doesn't get more love. The second ever beer that I had and actually liked.
Fuller's, Yards, Anchor, in that order.
Totally agree. Its the perfect porter.
Odell Cutthroat, great balance and flavor.
Founders and if you open it up to 4-packs, Tyranena both Dirty Old Man and Who's Your Daddy kickass!!!
I thought this was best 6 pack porter from your state, woops lol. In that case, Mayflower is good, but Founders can be had in MA and its probably my favorite. Mayflower a close second.
Eddie Fitz, Anchor, and founders.
Yuenglings is underrated imo
Black Butte slightly edges out Founders and Edmund Fitzgerald here. All three are really great.
as is the trend on BA, bias toward the more populated areas/distribution. I've lived in MI (Founders/Great Lakes) area and Odell Cutthroat and Black Butte win out for me, if we're talking porter. Founders Imperial Stout, however; is redonk if we're talking stout.
Edmund Fitzgerald. I find it quite a bit better than Founders, personally.
Came here to say this.
Brewed in MA=Mayflower which is a very nice easy drinking porter, but best available in MA would be Founders Porter. Cambridge Brewing Company actually brews the best porter in MA just only available in growlers, draft or cask.
I had forgotten about O'Fallon. That is a great beer that I wish I could get in VA. I'd vote for that and Founders personally.
Deschutes Black Butte without a doubt. I also love Maui Coconut Porter, but thats a 4 pack can.
Love Founder's porter. Great stuff.
Also really dig Highlands Thunderstruck coffee porter.
Doesn't really count since its not available in a sixer, but Berkshire Brewing Co. out of Deerfield, MA makes a mean Coffeehouse Porter, really good stuff.
Mother Earth Old Neighborhood
Founders all the way
Port City Porter!
Black Butte Porter Black Butte Porter Black Butte Porter Black Butte Porter Black Butte Porter Black Butte Porter Black Butte Porter Black Butte Porter Black Butte Porter Black Butte Porter Black Butte Porter Black Butte Porter Black Butte Porter Black Butte Porter Black Butte Porter Black Butte Porter
Fuller's London Porter, Black Butte, Avery New World. I liked Ten Pin from Ska and Odell Cutthroat when I was in AZ.
