I'm having a fresh Fou Foune for obvious reasons.
My wife doesn't drink, but Berkshire's Raspberry Strong Ale comes out every year for Valentine's Day, and I always enjoy one, even though I'm generally not fond of flavored beer.
Old Leghumper. Because for many on Valentines, that will be as far as they get.
I am thinking Rose de Gambrinus
I see what you did there.
followed by a Raging Bitch....
Surprised no one said this earlier...
Pipeworks At Her Majesty's Pleasure
if you're single
if you're not
And a fun recommendation I actually got from one of my female customers: if you mix a lambic with Hoegaarden, you get a dirty hoe. Awesome...cheers!
Rose de Gambrinus is always good. But I'd definitely drink something high in ABV too, like a Chocolate Rain.
Hill Farmstead Arthur with oysters (appetizer)
wine with dinner
Speedway stout with chocolate (dessert)
Surprised it took this long to mention ST Choklat.
I'm pretty sure the Dirty Sanchez preceeds the Raging Bitch
(I can't believe there was actually one listed in the database...)
Happy Ending from Sweetwater Brewng Co
Local brewery (North Country) has a Liquid Love Stout. Coincidentally its 6.9% ABV
Gotta get some Liquid Love for V-Day!
Something strong, so my bitter tears don't dilute it too much.
RA's Phoenixx Double Extra Special Bitter.
i'll open a bottle of bourbon county cherry rye. im getting the special sexy time today
I have a bottle of Tart of Darkness, and two bottles of DuClaw Naked Fish
I'll probably just go with whatever goes with dinner. I was gifted a case of Kuhnhenn and an order from Erte for v-day, so I am pretty much not going to best that. At least not with beer.
Missed it by a minute...
Just tell your wife or girlfriend you want some Heady tonight, see what she says. lol.
She loves Sonoran White Chololate Ale (I like it blended with a good stout or milk stout) and I'm a fan of her being a little drunk. WE BOTH WIN
Going with Yards Chocolate Love Stout.
Darkness 2011 with sweetened marscapoon stuffed strawberry. #pantydrop
Took the words right outta my mouth!
We are going to try a new one for us... The Great Chocolate Wreck from Good Nature Brewing. Hope it's good!
Every wise man knows that the only appropriate answer to any Valentine's Day question is "Whatever she wants".
Cheers everyone, Happy Valentine's Day.
For me, first valentines day single in awhile.
Im thinking of starting with a southern tier choklat bomber tonight and ending with about 1 too many scotches.
Clearly OP is not listening to anyone here. Chocolate stouts. There is no other option. Personally, Rogue Double Chocolate Stout is in my fridge. Samuel Smith's Organic Chocolate, Yard's Love, GD Chocolate Yeti...
P.S. Orchid's, not roses.
DFH Red and White
Will be busting out the Goose Island Bourbon County Cherry tonight. Can't wait to try it!
Anything with Chocolate...
Rogue 'Double Choc Stout' & 'Regular Choc Stout'
Granville Is 'Imperial Choc Stout'
Phillip's 'Longboat Double Choc Porter'
Brooklyn's 'Black Choc Stout'
+1 for Bitter Valentine. My wife and I don't celebrate Valentine's Day so this will be close enough
Well, I had a huge problem deciding on which beer to give my girlfriend for Valentine's Day. First I just got her a bottle of Rogue Double Chocolate Stout. Then I got a four pack of Sierra Nevada's Ovila Quad with plums and put one in her gift bag. Then I put a DFH Raison D'Entre into her bag, because she told me she loved it. And just now I went Porter crazy and got a mix-four of Edmund Fitzgerald, Taddy Porter, Napa Smith Bonfire and Breckenridge Vanilla Porter.
So she's basically getting a bunch of good beer.
Interestingly enough, I just had the Portsmouth Brewery's Cream Ale, which was soaked in beets for a day. Beautiful red color, the taste wasn't altered all that much, but definitely cool!
A nice light brew like a wit or light pale ale with your appetizer or salad. A nice Dubbel with steak (if that's what you're having). Espresso or Chocolate oak aged Yeti with dessert!
Southern Tier Creme Brûlée. If she has a sweet tooth and you don't tell her it has a high abv.
