Cafe Royale. I had high expectations before I tried it and it still impressed me.
Had both of those recently and they were awesome
Prob already been said, but Epic Big Bad Baptist and Right Brain CEO Stout have some pronounced coffee flavor/aroma to them.
This is the clear answer but I will say that TAPS Balinese coffee stout was amazing
and if you havent had Beachwood Brewing Mocha Machine, that beer will bring your beans something fierce.
Well I'm super late to the game but my picks from what I've had lately would be:
Harder to get - BCBCS 2010
Easier to get - Evolution Rise Up Stout
Dayman and peruvian morning. Both on tap.
peruvian morning (not the most recent batch) and surly coffee bender. both are top notch but very different types of beers.
Founders Breakfast Stout
Central Waters Peruvian Morning
Central Waters Brewhouse Coffee
OddSide Ales Bean Flicker
I was just about to say this. This is the newest coffee beer I had, and it's a hell of a brew. There's a bit of an appearance/taste discrepancy because you expect coffee beers to be dark, but this was great stuff. I imagine this is what Dayman would taste like if it cut out 70% of the hops.
Enjoy Kona Pipeline, especially since it's dirt cheap compared to what's available here for Coffee brews (and that makes it taste better)
Well I haven't had it quite yet, but I'm about to have some Maple Bacon Coffee Porter from FB in an hour.
Evolution Rise Up Stout
Troegs JavaHead Stout
Stone Espresso Imperial Russian Stout
All great, you can't go wrong with these.
peche mortel. its nearly perfect
Yes! Saw it for the first time last week and picked up three bottles. A+
Stone Espresso Imperial Stout
Drinking my first Highland Black Mocha Stout as we speak. Will definitely be having again.
Beachwood's System of a Stout
Bruery's Mash & Grind
Noble Ale Works Naughty Sauce
All brewed with coffee from Portola Coffee Labs
Last night I had Uinta Labyrinth on tap for the first time. Absolutely delicious beer. It was somewhere between Wheaton W00tStout(which doesn't get enough cred on this site), and BCBS.
Peche Mortel and Bomb! were recent revelations.
The Bruery - Mash & Grind! So good!
Tried a Local Option Morning Wood last night - excellent balance in a somewhat lighter coffee ale. Two Brothers has a coffee version of its French Country Ale, called French Press. Cheers!
great coffee flavor, and an interesting lighter body than the coffee stouts...
and I think my peruvian morning's are infected. not amazed by them.. briskly fizzy and almost tart.
Peruvian Morning and KBS are obvious choices, but the best non-obvious/new coffee beer I've had lately was Central Waters' Brewhouse Coffee Stout. I didn't expect to like it much, since I lean heavily toward barrel-aged stouts and Brewhouse isn't aged at all, but it has a really strong, smooth, clean coffee taste to it, like no other coffee beer I've had. I'll definitely be buying it again.
I was there last night and had some. Might be the best batch I've had. Seriously. While the maple was probably the most subtle of the ingredients; the bacon and coffee were quite strong. Very cool bluegrass duo played too. Enjoy!!
By driving to the Lounge and ordering one, hopefully.
I might have made a mistake posting here lol, hope it's not gone by the time I get there.
Cigar City Cafe Americana
Yeah that beer is so good!
Thicker than Zhukov, sweetness and coffee....my god.
I'm just happy a keg made it to S. Florida, didn't think I'd be lucky enough to try it ever.
Ale Smiths Speedway stout. Just came to Wisconsin. Delicious!
Cigar city cubano-style espresso brown ale was awesome, I'd love to try a cup of coffee with those beans
I was going through 2 growlers a week when they had available for growler fills.
Everytime someone asks this question, my answer is Peche Mortel
It's because I've always had it recently, and it's always my favorite.
I had a local offering recently that tasted like really watered down espresso.... that was....pretty cool.....
On a more serious note however I'd have to go with Espresso Oak Aged Yeti, that is pure win in a bottle if you ask me. If you haven't tried this beer then you need to.
