If I'm going a Kane beer, it's Oast House Head High. Holy god that was amazing
I missed that one. Dammit!
Guess who's getting one of six of the 1/6 barrels
That's a good score. I am hoping to drink a ton of it during Ogre Fest.
I can't sit here any say it's "THE BEST" draft only beer I've had, but god damn if Goose Island's Green Line isn't delicious.
What I came here to post as well.
Honorable mention (from me) to Funkwerks for Monarch and their Belgian IPA.
Yea, 12oz pour for 4.50??? Yes please!! I'll be up there as well, we should meet up! Hopefully they post a preemptive list soon!
Absolutely. I probably won't get up there much on the first couple days, but I'm camping a bar stool from Wednesday on. I also heard from people in the know that this year has the potential to be really good. I will hit you up when it gets closer.
On draft period: CBS
Draft only: Barrel Aged Darkness!
This gives me a murder boner.
Came here to say this.
Usually you get it mentioned before me.
Abner for ipa
Allagash Lawrence for a sour
Younger was worth the trip to Santa Rosa.
Maybe not the best, but certainly well worth mentioning, Moonlight Brewing Co.
Zwanze 2012 anyone?
CCB Cafe con Leche stout and Puppy's Breath porter were pretty redonkulous.
Bell's black note..oh wait...
Troeg's Naked Elf (Mad Elf without honey or cherries)
Carton Boat Beer
Columbus Brewing Company's biggest IPA.....Creeper! (Edges out Bodhi)
For me it was Red Saturnalia on nitro tap. The pour at first looked golden but settled on a amber red body with a light golden fluffy head. So much hops in the aroma and the beer nearly put me in a coma. I didn't even mean to rhyme there but that beer nearly brought me to tears.
Founders CBS is always pretty amazing on tap.
I had mine at Dieu Du Ciel's brewpub, and it was a collab between them and The Alchemist called "Morality". Best IPA I have ever tasted... just an explosion of tropical fruit in my mouth. I honestly didn't think such a taste could possibly come from a beer... I was dead wrong!
I'll second the tree hugger, the hefe is no slouch either...
Okay, tree hugger for the non-barrel aged. Barrel aged: Kraken, I could drink this everyday, one of my all time favorites.
Based on my ratings it's Bear Republic Tartare.
NB Felix Love - cask
jade ipa from foothills in NC, off the fucking chain. i think they are going to start bottleing it soon.
I thought it tasted/smelled like butthole, but I got literally the last 1-2 oz off of the Keg at WLV and I fear I didn't get the proper experience.
Until they start bottling it (soon...) - Legend of the Liquid Brain from the Bull & Bush.
Separate names with a comma.
