FW Pale 31
Stone Pale Ale
FW Double Jack
NC Old Raspy
Colorado --> Odell's IPA.
I just had my first Left Hand Milk Stout in a good while and was reminded just how much I enjoy that beer, so that would be my honorable mention.
Agreed. Had to actually think about this. Exit 16 might be the beat year round for NJ
In Massachusetts, I'd have to say Mayflower Porter or Ipswich Nut Brown.
In Iowa, we don't have many good in-state beers in sixers...yet. Toppling Goliath starts bottling this spring, so therefore it will be my favorite sixer from my state and from any state for that matter. Get on the bandwagon.
I'd say the regular Grey Sail Ale. Stuff is awesome!
In VA -- toss up for me between: Devils Backbone Kilt Flasher and Port City Porter
In DC -- DC Brau Public
These. I would add Mother Earth Dark Cloud in there to make a nice top 5 for NC as far as this category is concerned.
Florida= Jai Alai
Virginia- AleWerks Coffeehouse Stout, Port City Porter
Close- Blue Mountain Full Nelson
Most from NY would say Ithaca Flower Power, and they wouldn't be wrong. I'll throw in Ommegang Abbey Ale and Brooklyn Pilsner.
In my home state of Maine, I'd say Geary's HSA and whatever seasonal Peak Organic has out at the moment.
I think Elysian's Night Owl is a pretty darned good sixer
Surly Furious is always great year round!
4 pack pint still counts
Ohio - Great Lakes Edmund Fritzgerald comes in a 6'er
4 pk has to be Fathead's Head Hunter. Incredible brew.............
Highland's Oatmeal Porter in NC
4-pack of Peche Mortel
Hey Joe, that reminded me the local watering hole has Thursday specials on in state beer. Thanks, dude
For Chicago, I vote Zombie Dust for best, Revolution Anti-Hero for best value.
And yes, I know Zombie Dust is $35/case at the brewery. I'm talking at a beer store in the city. I'm not going to make a habit out of driving all the way to Munster every week.
Texas: Deep Ellum IPA, Rahr Ugly Pug Black lager and Storm Cloud IPA
Tennessee: Yazoo Dos Perros
Texas- Karbach Wiesse Versa
Blue Mountain Full Nelson Pale Ale pretty much blows everything else in VA out of the water as far as year round beers go.
Red's Rye isn't going to be year round anymore, right?
Correct. But it was this past year.
I'm in PA, and thought the $9/sixer I recently paid for Gonzo was the best purchase I've made in forever.
Does Three Floyd's count as chicagoland? If so definitely Zombie Dust. Otherwise I'm on board with Anti-Hero and Hopslayer
Im from Wisco also and I would go with Oso Night train with my Honorable mentions being Central Waters Mudpuppy porter and Sprecher Black Bavarian
chicago isn't a state. and three floyds is in indiana.
now if CBC would just start bottling Bodhi you'd have one hell of a trifecta
Here in Ky my current favorite is West 6th IPA.
"You dumb bastard..."
Chiming in from SC with a vote for Westbrook IPA. Fantastic stuff when fresh.
Get some Flower Power!
I gotta go with Flower Power. I'd love to say Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout because I can usually find it for 10 months or so of the year near me, but I could say the same with ST Choklat as well.
Another NH vote for Smuttynose IPA.
i just came in to post exactly the same thing.
Have you had Jai Alai?
I gotta go with anti hero.. shame that possibly the best year round 6 pack out of Illinois only came out like 4 months ago.
Indiana: In the pre-Zombie Dust era, I'd say Gumballhead. Now, ZD.
