cold crashing

  1. Will the yeast still "clean stuff up" at ~40* or should I leave it at room temp? I'm essentially trying to kill two birds with one stone but I don't know if its possible.

    If you mean reducing diacetyl, acetaldehyde, etc., the yeast should be kept active at warmer temps.
