Only saw coffee 12
Beer Pulse article stated that it would make it to NY (atleast NYC I would presume)
Can't imagine why they wouldn't ship the two together. Maybe it's still coming?
don't know *why* the distribution was staggered, but it definitely was. Have heard from some shops that received a healthy allotment of Coffee and are still under the impression that they will receive an allotment of the Cherry Rye.
It should come, in limited batches, soon enough. Not sure who will get it exactly.
In other words, what he ^ said!
i know northern jersey got about 10 cases.
I've been searching all over for the Cherry Rye nothing. I have found Coffee and Night Stalker in a few places I hope it makes it north of NYC
Who had coffee, Nathaniel's square?
Yeah - everyone else did as well. One case.
Thanks. Man, I have been to hegedorns probably 6 times over the last 3 weeks and I never saw any.
Yeah - I grabbed a few out of town and one in town. I could trade one if you want - looks like your gots are not updated either. Message me if interested tho.
I've gotten shut out on all of the recent releases. No BCBS, no coffee, no FW16, no Madame Rose. Wish Rochester saw a bit more of the limited releases.
Very true, but I was able to get one 4-pack of BCBS at our Irondequoit Wegmans. Also, go to Hegedorns pronto, they had several Madame Rose on the shelf along with Bolt Cutter.

Bourbon County and Madame Rose are all over Buffalo at most Consumers Beverages. Coffee made a brief appearance but went fast. Personally, I didn't care for Madame Rose at all, especially given that I popped Juliet right afterwards and that was very tasty.
Still nothing about Cherry in the Westchester area, I hear rumblings about an late December/early January appearance but here's hoping I'm wrong! Although I do appreciate the break from the spending after Firestone Walker's 16th and Black Ops..
Just got a bottle of cherry rye in Albany.
Cherry has arrived finally in Rochester!
where if you don't mind saying? Dying to try this one.
Ooooh, so the tide has finally turned and you upstaters got your beer before us in the boroughs/LI. I trust you can now stop your godforsaken complaining about everything?
Upstate gets Cherry Rye before the NYC area (Did I just really say that?)
Beers of the World got in a case and selling it for $30 after tax/deposit. That is absurd.
Beers of the world can shove those bottles up their ass.
I am not even close to cheap but I am not paying 30 dollars for a 17 dollar bottle of beer.
Sadly, I probably will...
It's definitely not a 17 dollar beer and they didn't shove the bottles up their ass, they sold them all. If the beer costs more of course they will sell it for more. If they sold it at 17 a bottle they would not be in business very long
Beers of the world is the shittiest store in Rochester. And, I'm pretty sure they do shove bottles up their asses.
That is just a plain old ignorant statement. You should be lucky there's a store like that locally!
Nathaniel's and the rest of the small stores has everything I need. How much did you pay for coffee at botw?
Only time I go there is for kegs.
If the day ever comes that I'm craving a German lager or something like that, you're right I'll be lucky botw is around.
I'm heading up to Syracuse for X-Mas and will search that area for some Cherry Rye to bring back to Brooklyn, hopefully for a local trade. Looking for KH or other BA Barleywines.
Here's to you not finding any
anybody seen/heard of Cherry being anywhere else in Rochester? I've been calling around and it seems like no one has any idea if they're getting it.
30 is a considerable markup. Granted beer is a luxury good, but I don't feel like that is pricing that is eqitable for the consumer. Selling it at 17 is more rational than selling it at 30 if you are really trying to advocate for good beer for all.
I doubt Cherry will still be around by Monday at most places in Syracuse.
From what I've seen, your chances on getting a Cherry version in rochester is slim to none. Unfortunately the hype is getting out of control for beers that funny enough no one in Rochester has ever tasted before. I do like to try new beers and find out what the hype is or is not about, but I can buy a lot of beer for $30 I know I am going to like. Good luck on your hunt, but it may not be worth the frustration.
It gives me something to do rather than sit around with my in laws.
I'm also hoping that my friend who owns the beer store in my neighborhood manages to get a case from his distributor in January (he's 50/50 right now). If so, I'll be able to get one bottle to drink and one to trade.
south town had some for a low price of 18 or so. there were 9 left at 4pm
Got one for 20.99
Anyone else want to argue about anything?
Where'd you find cherry?
Ok, I'll admit I was wrong they were not any left in Rochester. Although, I am not sure if there are any more left now. I'm just not sure a beer is worth that much trouble and time.
I was able to get some last night on my way home from work.
Where and how much?
Was able to score three bottles around the Buffalo area with a little bit of good timing and some driving. Typical price is going for about 22-23 per bottle. A huge jump compared to the severely under priced Coffee for 13 bucks at Consumers, but I bet they were using the original release pricing.
