And of you don't like it, go somewhere else you love and be friendly.
I joked about how if TFS got their hands on Ananke Bottles would they sell it for $40. The response was and I quote "Be friendly, @beermonkey and @freetailbrewing are #bff." I blew it off bc I was being facetious but possibly I was onto something here hence TFS response...
I'm a Hoarder's Society member, so I approve of over priced beer.
You are not very nice, please work on being more friendly.
Your Friend John.
Scott's gotta get that lambo ride someday
You obviously don't live in San Antonio. My feelings are truly hurt.
Sure hope Yo Soy comes out before September cause I want to take a bunch to the beach.
Update on Freetail:
New Braunfels IMO
I just read this also. Truly great news and I cannot wait for the expansion and eventual distribution of Freetail beers.
Not opening a location in Houston 0/10
I wish, but I highly doubt it. Mainly because I'm not that lucky. Plus we have three breweries already.
Wait...you do not count BJ's
I do not see why not...Faust is Faust, more of a bar and restaurant than a brewery IMO.
The other two are production breweries that I do not see really opening up to become bars.
Freetail is completely different than the rest. I just have a feeling it will be along the I-35 corridor north of SA. NB has a lot of tourists that could keep a place like that busy.
And my parents have a river house there. That I frequent a lot. And I need good beer. So, clearly, my evaluation is not biased.
Is San Marcos in the San Antonio metro area? I want this new location as close as possible to Austin.
I still have a bottle of Bandito in my cellar if anyone local to Austin is interested. =) PM Me.
Joke's on us. New location will be in Southtown.
There's a special place in hell for people like this: http://*.com/?itm=3650
I'll give you a deal and sell you one of mine for $68 + free shipping.
Holy shit now that's a bargain!
Yea that is a bit ridiculous, but I'm sure there is some idiot out there that will actually pay that.
Did you follow the link to his ebay page? Founders CBS w/ Snifter for $109 and someone bought it. Apparently this person has been doing this for a long time. Now that Ebay has put a stop to it he has moved to *. I can't stand people that do this.
Yeah I saw that. I also ran into this Twitter page: https://twitter.com/Windycity1981
"Greed is good." Seems appropriate if that's him.
That would suck.
Special place in hell for that guy...
If we see that guy at the next release, make sure he goes home empty handed.
I shall make sure he goes home with no hands
I did not actually see this mentioned even though it is from July 5th.
"Freetail creator Scott Metzger announced on his blog the company is in negotiations with a building downtown to lease or purchase, although he did not reveal the location."
No New Braunfels or closer to Austin
San Antonio newspaper revealed the site yesterday I believe. I am on my phone so I don't have the link handy
The address was posted. But Scott said he would post it when it's final, so we should leave it at that.
"The buzzed-about second location of Freetail Brewing Co. is no longer a mystery. Owner Scott Metzger confirmed that 2000 S. Presa St. is where he's hoping to open another Freetail facility to produce beer to sell wholesale."
He may have confirmed it but he's pissed that they "broke" this story. Apparently it is not a done deal and he also had a plan to reveal the location to people in an entertaining way.
I have not confirmed that is the location, although it is one of many under consideration. We do not have a completed deal on ANY location currently and we are still in the process of securing a location. There are questions as to whether a brewery can legally go into the building mentioned in the article. Unfortunately this is a case of poor journalism by wanna-be journalists.
Out of respect I will not give mysa the ad revenue by clicking the link.
...or you can do this. I'm on my phone so I can't do the "roll my eyes" emoji. Good job.
