You're talking American reds, right? Lots of folks seemed to listing Irish reds.
It's all about the Tocobaga, baby!
Lagunitas Lucky 13 Mondo Large Red Ale
Lagunitas Imperial Red
Bear Republic Rocket Red
I like these
Steel Toe Rainmaker
Kern's 6th Anniversary Ale (aka Dirty Hippie Imperial Red Ale) followed closely by Nugget Nectar.
Zoe, Red God, Eagle Claw Fist, Mayflower Spring Hop and Yulesmith Winter.
Kingpin Double Red Ale is my favorite red.
Lagunitas Imperial Red
Port Shark Attack
Drakes Red Eye
I believe this fits... Bells this one goes to eleven ...the last sip made me sad i will never see it again
This One Goes to 11 and I also really like Red Hoptober
Lagunitas Lucky 13 is fantastic and a great value...less than 5 bucks a bomber round here...
North Coast Red Seal Ale and Rogue St. Rogue Ale.
I have to go with Red Seal Ale as well.
Green Flash Hop Head Red and Karl Strauss Red Trolly. Nugget Nectar is in the top 3 though.
in that case...
Great Lakes Nosferatu
Lagunitas Imperial Red is my favorite as of now. It used to be Lagunitas Lucky 13 until they changed the recipe to the blonde ale or whatever it is.
EDIT: Great Lakes Nosferatu is a VERY close #2.
Another vote for Lagunitas Imperial Red. Too bad they're not making it in 2013.
Ohhh no that is horrible news!
Odell. Tocobaga good too.
Ale Asylum of course . . .
1 - Bells This One Goes....
2 - Oscar Blues G'Kinght
3 - GL Nosferatu
I was going to add Hop Head Red to my list as well, but Green Flash labels it as a red IPA now.
You ain't foolin anyone, Green Flash!!!!
Nosferatu is considered an American strong ale. Ill go with King Pin double red. It doesnt get a lot of love on the ratings here but I think it has an excellent balance and big hop and malt profiles.
I've never met a red that I didn't like so I can't recommend one above another. It must be one of those recipes that is easy to brew and likable.
One of Maine's FINEST, hands DOWN. i'd bath in it, true story
Not the highest rated on here, but I love Lakefront's Fixed Gear. Revelry from Two Brothers is mighty nice too. Seeing that G'Knight is considered a red. That's prolly the best.
1. This one goes to 11
2. Green Flash Hop head red
3. Steel Toe Rainmaker
Is it just 2013 that Lagunitas Imperial Red isn't being made? Because there's no trace of it on the site, like they made it an un-beer.
I love that and Tocobaga.
Hop Head Red
Deschutes Red Chair NWPA
yeah i really like odells too. not a favorite style of mine but theirs has a really nice earthy/hoppy balance
Nugget nector is my favorite., both cane and abel and revelry from two brothers i liked, hopback is a orignal classic, Rouges santas private reserve was a surprize but for the money its hard to beat Lagunitas Imperial Red.
Steel Toe Rainmaker gets my vote.
