Any one know when this is supposed to hit Chicago?
any sightings in SF yet?
Very Soon. My store is getting it this friday.
Awesome thanks for the info
Check your local Bevmo.
Just got back from the San Luis Obispo Bevmo.
Velvet Merkin is there and they also have a large quantity of Double Double Barrel Ale.
Whole Foods in Los Altos, CA posted this picture on its Facebook today:
Sort of off topic... but what about PNC? Haven't seen that anywhere. Anyone see it in San Diego or OC?
Didnt hit distro, but available for onsite consumption at Toronado SD.
It was also bottled. You need to hit up the Seattle, Portland, SF area. There were 450 cases bottled and distributed to PNC members. I traded for one with a guy in Seattle.
The bottles in SF sold out weeks ago. Only a handful of bars in the country got it, so trading is probably the best bet
Was able to get 1 bottle today. I don't think it released a lot of places yet though
Anyone see this in the Bay Area yet? Calling around, still haven't heard of anyone getting it in...
Yes. Been in the South Bay since Monday/Tuesday. Smaller liquor stores and BevMos
Nope, welcome to the pit that is Bay Area beer distro.
Camden Bevmo had 4 cases.
Whole foods ( Bascom , Almaden and los gatos ) Call around and they can let you know
Santa Clara liquor has a at least one if not two case.
Sunnyvale Bevmo should have a few cases too.
Goodluck Hunting BA
It's around Chicagoland. A few Binny's tweeted and I know a few smaller stores got it. GL all.
Any one get it in the city? I called the binny's out here, they don't have it yet. The burbs seem to have it though.
Man ive been calling around and nothing from binnys. They know what it is and that its coming but they keep saying its not in the system :/
I just so happened to be there on business the weekend it was released. I had it on tap and bought 6 bottles (It actually came out Saturday night, but no one knew). It is AMAZING! Hit me up if you want to trade for one.
I just picked up some at the Fairway Bevmo in Roseville for the south Placer ,North Sac folks. The also had Green Monster and Enjoy by 10/25 IPA.
Some might disagree but to me it's what Ebony and Oak should have tasted like. Some people might diss it but it's an oatmeal stout in old Fitz BB. The beer smells a big but is smooth and light in character. Something you can down solo. Some will say it blows but it's not meant to be Parabola. If it doesn't distro trade for it... You'll be surprised.
2 bottle limit at Bevmo in Sunnyvale.
orland park and plainfield binnys got em in. They're starting to pop up.
Those were my thoughts exactly. It's very good if you realize it's intention. It literally tasted like BA Merlin.
6. I know because I have them.
Such weird distribution
All of the Nuggets in the Sacramento Valley have it now.
Not unlike every other limited release throughout Chicagoland.
You trying to say that the far out burbs get it days before people in the city? Makes little sense
I know Preserve Pub in Winters received some two or three days ago
He's right and it doesn't. Once you start seeing the pattern for distribution on limited release beers in chicagoland, you realize it's sporadic as fuck.
Anyone else looking in the San Jose area BevMo on Santa Teresa has them in the back, just have to ask as far as I could tell.
Just makes no sense how one store can get it and the next few closest don't but random ones all over get it
Sounds awesome cant wait to get some
Yeah I actually picked one up from OP Binny's after work. I assume it's gone now.
Thanks for the info. Was able to hit up that BevMo and score me a couple. Also got word that the Total Wine just down the street from there is expecting it Monday or Tuesday this week...
Now if I can manage to grab some F.W. Anniversary Ale, I'll have all the boxed brews from F.W. this year, all of which, so far, have been great.
Seriously, why does it suck so bad around here.
Which binnys are you talking about? My local binnys has it in the system but not yet arrived
