few questions...How hard is this to find? Singles, 4 packs or 6 packs? Price? How often is it canned? Are cans dated? Had it once and loved it, would like to revisit this brew. Any help is appreciated.

You can find 4-packs fairly easily in both Oregon and Washington markets. It is their flagship brew so they will brew it often.

Closest beer to heady IMO, floaties and all.

In WA, Vortex is available in the 6/4/16oz can configuration.. so that is 4pks of 16oz cans. I'm sure some stores break those into singles. Expect to pay between $10.99 and $12.99 per 4pk.

I bought one today at Whole Foods. Looks like there is an inked date on the bottom of the can.

Just took a trip to Astoria last weekend to visit the brewery for the first time. The place is awesome, food is delicious, and Vortex from the tap us very good.

Vortex is a very good brew. I have included it as extras in several trades because I love it so much. If you are looking to seek some out, I would also highly recommend their Cavatica Stout. Very good IMHO.

Have you had a chance to have Biette Noir(totally the wrong spelling)? Seasonal stout that I thought was amazing. Much better than Cavatica. Totally different, but very very good. Not sure if its anywhere other than the brewery.

Say what? Totally intrigued now. I have never even heard of it, nor can I find any reference on their site. Is it on tap now? I was thinking about a day trip to the coast in the next couple weeks anyway.
