The ABV of Mephistopheles has varied from batch to batch. It got label approval for NC during a year it was under 15%, so we have continued to get it.

Agreed. The label also has a wooden background which could also support the fact that it might be barrel aged.

I thought Founders had stated that the next two Backstage Series beers would be not barrel-aged after Better Half. Maybe they changed the schedule as I think they also said the 15th Anni beer was part of the Backstage Series.

So my roommate works at Founders and he brought home a low fill of Bolt Cutter. It feels beautiful.

I really can't wait for this one. Has anyone heard whether this is an English-style or American-style Barleywine?

There's nothing like the strong taste of RARE in the midpalate!

This might be the first time someone demanded "pics or it didn't happen" and proof was shown. That's awesome, haha.

No I'll be tasting this beer when I buy one myself. My roommate doesn't drink the specialties. He just keeps the bottle.. full. I'd call it a mild hoarding problem.
Hey I'm new around here. Got a reputation to hold up!

Well, if he doesn't care about the contents, I could borrow them if he's not going to use them....

Kind of how we should have borrowed the contents of his CBS that he lets roast in his 85 degree bedroom? Yeah.. it's like that and it saddens me.:slight_frown:<----like that.

Yep. And tell him that it's just a "borrowing" program. I will be sure to fill it back up after I'm done with the contents.
