Got mine for Wednesday, mug club day!
Also got Friday tickets for me and my fiance. CAN'T FUCKING WAIT. For real.
Got my ticket for Wednesday. No problems!
SHH!! Dont remind me about that god forsaken thing.
Got my friday tickets too! Hopefully this weekend will be like the KBS party sans the frost bite.
My girlfriend and I each got tickets for Friday. Thinking we'll snag a hotel and hang around for the anniversary party the next day!
I gotta give props to Founders for how they are doing this release. I've slagged on them in the past for a LOT of stuff, but this ticketing system looks like it's gonna be fair and organized.
Huh, they're still not sold out (my roommate and I both got tickets for Sunday no problem). I guess the bottle cost and the fact that it's hitting distribution might have reduced demand for the tickets dramatically.
Celebrating an easy ticket purchase with a KBS to remind me of the old days of cold crazy line madness. Cheers!
Hope this is a trend for their releases. Got my ticket and it looks like there are still plenty available.
And today would've been a cold fucking day too to wait in line. 44 last time I was outside!
Atta boy, see ya then! Does anyone think Founder's will allow someone to pick up bottles with someone elses tickets? My buddies aren't sure if they want to make the 10 hour drive with me, but bought the 5 dollar ticket just in case...Photo copies of their ID's possibly?
i wont believe it till my ticket is in my hand. see you guys up there sunday (or the night before).
Yeah, that was slick. It took longer for my laptop to boot up than it did to purchase my tickets for Tuesday.
From the website:
All ticket holders are required to have their ticket, as well as a valid ID, as recognized by the Michigan Liquor Control Commission, and will be required to pay for (via cash or credit card), in person, as well as pick-up their product on that given day.
Well, to me, that just says a valid ID stating that you are of legal age to purchase alcohol. It does NOT say a valid ID that matches the name on the ticket...
In person...it says in person.
Same here, and yeah that was a cold night with the wind.
Got mine for Monday...to avoid most of you people!!
Sunday tickets easily acquired. I think they fact that you have to be there in person on the exact day and that this is hitting distro limited the demand. Personally, I see this as an excuse to get back up to Founders for a day
this is great! tickets are still up!!
Distribution isn't until the 19th, from what I remember reading
I'm fairly certain that somewhere on either the Founders announcement or the Brown Paper Ticket page it does specify that you can't pick up for other people.
Yes it pretty much does.
Sunday's sold out, everything else is gravy. Who's going Monday?
Signed on about 15-20 minutes ago fully expecting them to be sold out, snagged a ticket for sunday no problem. From the above post, it seems like I may have gotten the last one.
how do you know? It seems to let me go through the process up until you enter your billing info without saying anything about that.
I am really amazed that tickets are not going like DLD. Good job, Founders!
Funny, my internet sold out slower than yours.
dan I am getting mine monday so I will let you know if its a drain pour and save you a trip to GR
Also I am not sure if they will let you pick up other friends bottles i would call and ask them. due to the fact they stated more then once you could buy ONE ticket per person so I would guess they will only let you pay for 2 bottles
You could always go in with a friend and split the two bottles between you.
Ouch! Well Monday's cool too, I just don't expect as many BAs
yes you could but i think the op wants to buy his friends full allotment which i am not sure they will do. seems thats the reason they set this ticket system up. but since none of us have tickets yet they may not even have a name on them in which case just find a bum over at the bus station across from founders to mule for you
It seems crystal clear that ticketholders have to show up in person. Am I missing something?
I'm with you. Hence why we had to fill out all of that information. To make buying multiples impossible.
The only reason I even bring the question up is, it seems hard to justify 3 people taking a 500 mile road trip to pick up 6 bottles, when one person could achieve the same task. I'm not trying to scam anyone, just asking a simple question. I've already emailed Sarah from the brewery, I'll post a response if I get one.
I would think if you're making a 500 mile trip and read something that clearly states you must show up in person, you'd know what you're getting yourself into.
Our comprehension abilities differ than because I read no where that it says the ID they require MUST match the ticket name... Thats all good sir.
It said it when you were purchasing the tickets and it asked for:
Separate names with a comma.
