Am I anybody's friend?
Really? I'm just glad people have time to tell us they can find it but not share where. Beer advocacy at its best.
I wasnt searching it out but was at my local shop and just asked they had in back but Im thinking its gone according to beer guy
Original Gravity is being tight lipped about it as well. Not sure why..
2 left at whole foods liquor. Had to dig
Deep on IG to find out where this was (they posted the photo 7 hrs ago)
If anyone sees or knows of any in the western burbs, I'm happy to give a finders fee. Please PM me.
Edina liquor york have to ask for it $20
I bet i beat you there tomorrow.
Traded for some...I'm not chasing social media updates for this one
St Anthony had some 2day
Stopped at a couple of stores on the way to work this afternoon no luck on the Backyard. I was shocked when I found 2 4 packs of Bourbon County Barleywine. They now have a new home.
I talked to buyers at 2 stores in the western burbs today who said they wouldn't get any. Apparently only the GI distributor that services Minneapolis got this shipment.
How does that explain the MGM on White Bear Lake in St Paul getting some?
The GI house that serves MPLS also serves STP.
I'm rather curious as to why this is showing up now, almost 3 months after the initial release. As well as more BCBW a couple weeks ago, seems like the distribution was all out of wack
Snagged a bottle of Backyard Rye at MGM Eagan this morning. 3 bottles left at the time. Was told they only got 12 bottles in, total, and aren't expecting any more.
I think I need txt alerts from you haha
Falls announced at noon that they had it. I'm sure it's gone by now. Elevated might still have some left. Aparently it's out on the shelf. I wasn't able to get to either place. Still hunting, so if anyone sees any in the western or southwestern burbs, please PM me. Would really like to find one bottle.
Everyone would really like to find one bottle....please PM everybody...lol
lol whelp i guess ill never get any.
It's a beer that's fairly easy to trade for. I even got one as an extra!
I'm not hunting this one. I'm expecting to pick up a 25 dollar pour at Groveland Tap in the near future.
or Happy Gnome.
Falls sold out in a matter of minutes. I was there 30 minutes after their tweet went out. Pretty bummed with GI and will definitely not be trading for any. Best of luck hunting.
Elevated sold there last one around 12:45 to a beer delivery truck driver right in front of me (he might have snagged quite a few on his rounds today)... so close. He declined my offer to split it and drink it in the parking lot.
Fridley liquor off of 694 and university sold a guy a whole case of barley wine.
Heritage just tweeted one bottle limit of Backyard.
Heritage just tweeted that its gone, it lasted an hour? Holy crap!
Why are people still surprised when a store gets 12 bottles of limited release beer and it is gone in an hour? Yes it sucks if you have to work and can't get there, yes it sucks if the truck chasers get it all. But surprise shouldn't be one of the things we are feeling now.
It's not a surprise but it does suck ass.
I think he was surprised that it even lasted an hour
When it comes to a release this limited I simply assume I'll miss out and if by off chance I get randomly luck into one being the right place at the right time I'm extremely happy rather than the expecting to land it and more than likely being disapointed.
I got a Backyard in a trade and loved it. A year ago I would have been hunting it down like my first grader son does Easter Eggs. Not playing that game anymore.
I ended up trading for all the variants after giving up trying to hunt those bad boys down. I definitely will do the same next year. I'm not built for this delivery truck/twitter following.
Couple of bottles of backyard rye left at ale jail.
About 16 bottles left at south lyndale.
Why the scattered release dates of some of these GI BCB variants? Specifically the Backyard? Just trying to get my finger on the pulse of this one...
