Was Everett on for fills today? I know about checking the retail shop, but rumor was it was back on, and now the list is filled and Everett is still "on deck".

ILOVESTOUTS Savant (435) Connecticut Apr 13, 2006 Verified

It was not. The open tap got filled with Society&Solitude#6, Everett is available on draft at local restaurants.

Everett is the ultimate winter ale, I'd like to see it on more in the winter. I try int now and then in the hot weather, but it's best drank in front of a fireplace.

Never had a problem on Wednesdays a bit after noon. It isn't empty, but usually only a handful of people. It is pretty crazy that I use to always go on Saturday and it was rare to see another person there. Now you'll easily wait an hour or 2, or even more.

An FYI for those coming up this tomorrow/this weekend, S+S6 should be on tap at Blackback starting tomorrow. Hunger Mountain had another delivery of Jester King. As of yesterday-ish, they had 2 Funk Metals on the shelf. Also had 4 others. Got my fill, so don't mind passing the info along ;)

I asked about the "real" bottle count today and the indication was that somewhere between 700-800 would actually be up for sale. Not sure if this count includes the bottle that every Collected Works member gets or not...

There were 30+ people in line by the time noon rolled around, which in my experience is a large group for noon on a Wednesday (even when other limited release beers are on the shelf). I was happy to be in the first 10 that got let in and didn't have to stand in it any longer.

Wednesday or Thursday starting noontime - mostly locals, no lines/waiting. Friday & Saturday - whole 'nother story.

Everett was on tap last weekend and is delicious.

"Everett was on tap last weekend and is delicious" Indeed!!! enjoyed at the pig and growlers to go.
  9. In line now - got here 11:30 and we're 5th/6th in line - about 10 ppl behind us now.

Taylor Rd > Sallis > Hillcrest > Hill Rd coming from 16 was mostly melted not too bad driving wise.

Taylor Rd -> Jaffin Flats -> Hill Rd is easier.

  11. CD4 was on the shelf for a bit at noon today. Pretty psyched. Thanks to Shaun!

  12. Re: Arthur. I asked Phil and the bottles that were on the shelf were NOT a new batch. They were the last (~60 or so at noon today) of the first version to go through the oak puncheons (late '12 release). Looking at the HF site now they must have sold them all today - no longer listed. So the next batch will be a new batch =)
  13. They only pulled 12 bottles and didn't announce so it was only if you saw it on the shelf...
Phil also said they expected Norma to be gone by about Mid-day saturday.

Hope the people coming from the Lawson's release can drive fast enough.
  15. Sonofabitch! Should have stuck with the plan to go up there today. Shocked how fast Norma is going.

That's actually not true. Phil likely said: "if we hadn't of changed the limit from 2 bottles to 1 bottle, they would be gone before mid day Saturday..."

850 bottles up for sale. That does not included the collected works allocations.

any chance for CD4 or other treats from the vault showing up tomorrow?
  19. mkurylko

mkurylko Savant (295) New Jersey Feb 10, 2011 Verified

I'm curious if the CD4 was planned or was put out to make up for the decreased bottle limit for people who made it there as early as they could on Thursday. We got there around 1230 on Wednesday and don't believe that any CD4 or anything else unexpected was out on the shelves.

  20. They put old stuff out from time to time. No rhyme or reason to it.

Actually... there is almost always reason to everything we do ;) This was because of the decreased Norma allocation... and a guilt complex...

Crap, I was assuming 12AM meant midnight tonight. 11:59 is so much easier.

I thought deadline was tonight as well, since it was mentioned we had all week to enter. And I thought there might be a tweet and an update to the details page when it closed. Anyone know for sure, curious to know the final numbers are.

Jus got home from hill. Got up there at 330 today - line of about 60 people. Only waited in line for an hour and half. Seemed like everyone was getting Norma. The girl said there will be some left for tomorrow. I got mine. Probably not going to last whole day. Good luck to anyone going tomorrow.

If it last the whole day I would be shocked. But I don't really know how many bottles are left. I'm jus excited to not have to go this mad house tomorrow. Going to be crazy. I would just assume its not going to last the whole day

Yeah, the tweet actually said you have an "entire week". Now, with the Collected Works page stating the deadline was March 1, obviously this did not mean a 7-day week, but I think it would be reasonable to assume this meant we had at least until the end of Friday. In all honesty, I've also spent my whole life assuming these 12AM deadlines meant the latest possible point so that I had an out when I didn't finish my paper I knew about for 3 months.

Was I talking them down? Or was I just stating a fact that its going to be a madhouse tomorrow. I think given the opportunity for anyone to go any other day they are open besides a Saturday. They would. I've gone to hill many, many times and I encourage everyone to go because its an awesome drive and everyone is really friendly. i will continue to go. To every release. If i have to go on a saturday so be it.

I can't wait to make it up there in the Summer/Fall, it was a beautiful area even being a frozen tundra.
  39. Seemed pretty clear to me when reading the website. Then again I have a lot of experience "mail ordering" Phish and GD tickets so I'm pretty good (OCD?) about these processes...

BobCobb Savant (415) Illinois Jul 10, 2012 Verified

A strict reading of the website would agree with you. Maybe I was careless to have in my head the norm that "midnight on X date" actually means 12:00AM of the following day. Even so, I wish they had been a bit tighter in their language when answering questions on Twitter that people do read. An "entire week" does not mean 4 days under any interpretation. I hope they can still throw my name in a hat despite an honest mistake.
