Figured I'd get the ball rolling on this. Information on Jester King Weasel and Drinkin in the Sunbelt. Feel free to toss in additional information on recent releases (LC#2, Jacob's, R10)

I'll kick it off by saying no info on either in Fort Worth yesterday. Central Market had a couple R10's ($7.49) left tucked back amongst the other Stone bombers. Half a pallet left of the recent Deviant Dale's drop (6/18 date I think). Running by King's and maybe

Yep...I just threadshit on my own post...smoothly done.

No news on Jester King. Gabriel's has Hoptimum (6/08) and Deviant (6/13), as well as a case of Rye on Rye. Should be getting a good amount of Brux tomorrow.

The beer guys at Gabriel's on 1604 are well known masters of the dark arts. Its how they negotiated an exclusive contract to carry Cantillon.

Thanks for your interest. Drink'in the Sunbelt hasn't left our brewery yet. We're hoping our distributor will get it picked up before the week is over. Regarding Weasel Rodeo, we feel it could use some more time to bottle condition, so we're going to give it a few more weeks at the brewery.

We do have some good news though! Our second bottling of Boxer's Revenge Barrel Aged Wild Ale will be out soon. Batch 2 is about 280 cases, up from 130 cases for Batch 1.

    Cheers,

    Jeffrey Stuffings

I can say, without a doubt, that Boxer's is my favorite sour of all time. I made the mistake of only buying 2 bottles the last time around and never found it again, this mistake will not be repeated.

Wasn't the sighting I expected to hear about, the surprise left me half mast though. By my calculations I can bath in the additional 100+ cases and no-one would be the wiser.

Sad to have left San Antonio gang but I'm happy to report that JK regulars (Petite Prince, Wytchmaker & Black Metal) are all on the shelves of some stores in San Francisco!

I will when I pick it up. I boxed it all up (around 16-18 different bottles), my brother-in-law drove it to Arizona, and I'll pick it up when I see him in a few weeks. But here are a few pics:

And beers that somehow found their way into my suitcase for the trip home......

Sorry to hijack this thread - back to Jester King!

Oh, i thought you already had the labels and the bottles... the second batch would have the organic labels and this batch would not...
or did I miss a release?

  29. jesterkingbeer

    jesterkingbeer Savant (440) Texas Jun 28, 2010

We had to do new labels because the alcohol by volume tested higher than we thought -- 3.7% as opposed to right around 3.0%. The upcoming bottle release will be from our first batch. The bottles have been conditioning and slowly developing lactic character at the brewery for several months. This will be the first bottle release of Bonnie the Rare.

We have batch 2 scheduled for August. Batch 2 will be certified organic.

    Cheers,

    Jeff

Was told that a number of Fort Worth shops made their purchases yesterday. If past experience is any lesson I would suspect Friday afternoon at all the usual liquor stores and Monday at the grocery stores. I will confirm at lunch for you and let you know.

Honestly, I'm more looking forward to the Bonnie release than any other current JK release. Berliners are one of my favorite styles and curious as to how JK's version matches up to some of the more traditional German made offerings.
