Lagunitas Sucks Brown Shugga Substitute Ale is on the way

Discussion in 'Beer Releases' started by otispdriftwood, Dec 12, 2012.

  1. I found some Sucks at Tap 25 last weekend ... just in regular 12oz bottles in their fridge. I had one and it reminded me of Racer 15. I got two more bottles to go and tasted it again next day and found that perhaps they were old bottles but I could not find a date or any stamp on them anywhere. Still tasted good even if they were old, which you typically can't say for certain IPAs.

They have a Julian date stamped on the bottle neck :)

  3. OK well I did look for that too. I'll have to check again, maybe look a bit harder. Those black ink on brown bottles don't show up too well! thanks

How would it not be old? It hasn't been in production.

  6. Talked to a Lag rep in northern VA last week, he echo'd what was in this thread, 32s as soon as possible on a trial basis in select markets: CA, if successful, Chicago.

Everyone else for the time being, 6 packs of Sucks, when it usually comes out. Works for me!

  7. Good. For a beer I know I love, I don't see the point of purchasing it in 32oz. format unless I want to play some Edward Quartyhands.
  8. Sucks as old as I see some Stoopids on the shelf are not, what people who are praying, are praying for.
  9. in 6 packs in my SoCal BevMo store!

Brown Shugga that is...not yet on the Sucks...
  10. I don't know, some special buddy-buddy hookup early release? Jesus f'n christ.
  11. Yeah, we have Shugga already, too, I'm just far more excited for Sucks. Still, Shugga is drinking as good as ever.
