Anyone ever seen any for sale? Jax area here.
Yes in South Florida.
Yes. St. Augustine.
Yep. Tampa has some. Luekens carries Barrel Aged Chipotle Porter, Hoppy Easter, Funky Star, Jackie Brown, Monks Brew, and a couple more I cant remember. I havent seen any new Mikkeller in a while though.
It's around sporadically down here in Palm Beach County, but frankly I have only had one or two that were anywhere near worth the price.
Beer Geek Breakfast Weseal was Awesome!
That's one of them I thought was worth it.
I remember first seeing Mikeller in FL in the Tampa area probably around a year ago. Unfortunately the selection was very limited. And Ive actually only even seen in at Leukens, like Brian said above.
Should I be worried that you know my name and I have no idea who you are? 0_o
Only if you are scared of people who can read. Or more specifically, people who CANT read, as I thought Braineater said Brian haha
Well, that was pure coincidence! But my name is Brian. So congrats.
You won't be seeing new Mikkeller for a little while so what you find is it for now. Mikkeller's importer, Shelton Brothers, has pulled out of most if not all of the state temporarily. Word is Shelton are starting their own distribution and will return on their own in the future.
Well I would use this time to stalk up on Mikkeller beers, but unfortunately I didn't win that $300million Powerball, so I don't think I can afford to do it. Damn are their beers pricey (albeit generally very good).
Has anyone seen Mikeller for sale at a retail location in Orlando or Jacksonville?
fwiw, I lived in orlando for 6 years and never saw Mikkeller there.
I talked to Mikkeller and they basically told me Florida is a crapshoot. It's imported by Shelton Brothers and up to them where it winds up.
If this is justin, then let me know when/if you get anymore mikkeller in. (this is kevin gray)
I saw some at the Orange Blossom Knightly Spirits in Orlando a few weeks ago.... I don't remember which one, I think maybe it was a Christmas Ale
Saw Mikkeller's Santa's Little Helper at TW Millenia in Orlando a few weeks back
Not Justen but we do have the Invasion IPA in. That's it from Mikkeller for now
I got their Tiger Baby IPA in Jacksonville. I can't remember the name of the store, but it was pretty sweet bottle shop.
I was at the House of Brews in Jensen Saturday eve and they have Rauch Geek Breakfast on tap. I did not check for bottles.
WOB Dadeland had 5 different mikkeller in draft today, seen a few bottles around lately as well.
damn talk about bringing a thread back to life.
We should be seeing more of it now thanks to Progressive Distribution. That's a name not an adjective lol.
Yeah, I've noticed my TW has started carrying stuff from them now.
TWs in Broward/South Florida seem to have some of their beers: was at one within the past week and they had the following:
You're looking at $13.49 a 750 or $8.49 for a 330 mL. For that reason I haven't picked up any. I do want to try one of the beers from the Beer Geek series though.
That's not crazy expensive but honestly every Mikkeller beer I've had besides beer geek has been underwhelming. Just not sour enough sours.
Yeah not enough of a fan to pick them up at that price point unless something really caught my attention which so far hasn't happened.
What bothers me even more is it's not even a real brewery.
Stopped by the OBT location of Knightly Spirits yesterday, and they had a ton of Mikkeller.
4packs of Mikkeller hitting Tampa tomorrow along with Hommage! Woot woot.
They sell various Mikkeller at Grassroots and Total Wine.
Knightly Spirits seems to be the only place in Orlando with any Mikkeller at all. I was pretty impressed by everything they had considering I'm not used to seeing any around here.
They have the beer geeks at Stop N Shop aka Downstairs near UM.
$7 a pop
Just passed by there today. The amount of Mikkeller they have is ridiculous compared to TW and ABC. They even had a case of Prairie Birra. I don't think I've seen any Prairie anywhere else in Orlando.
Coffee District in Delray Beach carries Mikkeller on the reg.
[And by reg I mean 'regular', for the non-hip.]
The best Mikkeller beer was a collab... oh wait...
