New Belgium water supply affected by wildfires

Discussion in 'Beer News' started by sandiego67, Aug 30, 2012.

  1. Sucks for New Belgium. But since Golden is south of Ft. Collins do you know if it's affected Coors as well?

  2. Coors uses water from Clear Creek, not the Poudre

  3. OK. But if the water table is affected, then Clear Creek may also be 'contaminated', beer-wise.

  4. A Coors Smoked Lager could be an improvement :)

I think the Clear Creek watershed is fine though, the fires were pretty far away from there, I think it is mostly snow runoff from the big 14ers

Is this the water that Rogue used for Voodoo Doughnut Maple Bacon Ale?

That would explain a lot, actually.

Wonder if Odell has been affected? Or Funkwerks?

    Hope not!
