Interesting concept and cool bottle art, just not sure its a combo that excites me as some others. Regardless, I am excited to give it a try and I am sure I will dig it....only a question of to what degree.

honestly, i'm usually pretty unenthusiastic about beer/wine fusion... but i feel like if anyone can make it work, the people who make saboteur are the ones.

  14. I didn't like it. Really grapey, almost like grape juice, hardly any porter character. The Ska stout with malbec grapes was better.

  15. Interested in anything by Odell.

Glad to see this thread. I hope more people who have tried it will give their opinion.

I saw this in our liquor store today, and seriously considered it. It was $14.99, and I rarely buy bombers, especially at that price. BUT, living in Northern Wyoming, it's not common for us to see exciting new stuff. I like Odell quite a bit, but I decided to pass for now. The combo just didn't sound enticing enough for the price. It sounds interesting, I'd like to try it, but I don't know if I'd like to pay $14.99 to try it. Maybe curiosity will get the best of me and I'll grab one.

Somewhat ironically, I walked out of the store with Odell IPA. An old favorite.

i thought it was ok. i am not big on porters and this was an excellent porter, but i actually did not get that much grape character out of it. i really liked the oak flavors but almost wanted more and i wish it would have had some tartness to it overall as well

the ska vinefera stout is fairly comparable i thought.
