Abyss at Lone Oak Grill Eagan on 4/4
Stopped at the Rabbit Hole in the Global Market and they had Founders Smoked Porter on tap.
How was the food? I need to get there!
Food there is aces.
It was delicious, went with a group and got a platter and four other small plates. We also ended with the 4 dessert platter... mmmmmmm
That flourless chocolate cake was killer, made me go home and open a Backyard, that was all I could think about while eating it.
Brau Brothers Sour Bancregie is on at Town Hall Tap.
We just tapped a 1/6 of Off Color DinoS'Mores Stout in the F44 Cheese Shop
This is a double post ... Which I know is a horrible crime, but it's for the good of the people.
This Sunday we're hosting the KBS draft release party. 4pm in the beer garden. We'll be tapping the following:
Kentucky Breakfast Stout
Barrel Aged Reds Rye PA
Reds Rye PA
All day IPA
+ that other "secret" session beer
4pm this Sunday (4/06) in the Butcher & the Boar Beer Garden
6oz pours available for the Imperials.
Ommegang Game of Thrones Fire and Blood draft release is tonight at Bulldog Uptown at 7pm.
Love the idea of 6oz pours! Wish more places did this!
Only if its half the price
I definitely want to try this. I didn't know you guys had taps. Might have to stop by on my bike tomorrow. Do you have outdoor seating?
Yup, but not quite yet. A bit cold still
Is off color distributing to mn?
3 Squares has been doing this for there strong beer releases.
Do yourself a favor and try the dino'smores... awesome stuff!
Also FYI, on Friday at 4pm I'll be tapping a pin (tiny cask) of Surly BLAKKR with Simcoe & Centennial. Happy hour from 4-6, $2 off MN beers including the cask. (Usually 10-15 MN beers on tap)
Stubs has Goose Island Sofie and Clown Shoes Vampire Slayer also a little Devil Made me Do it left
See everyone at Lone Oak Grill tomorrow night for Abyss?! I think they tap @ 5....I also think they probably still have mirror mirror left on tap and probably Ten Fiddy!
Not necessarily "on tap" but this event at the Science Museum tonight looks cool: http://www.smm.org/socialscience
Have to pick my wife up at the airport, Lone Oak is definitely a possibility. Lovely to see a place with a decent tap list in Eagan proper finally!
I would love to go to this! I don't know much about the event's their...
BA Mirror Mirror and Ten Fidy were still on tap as of last night...
Stay away Ol_Johnny! Stay away!! I think it's a great idea in theory, but I went once for a friend's bday it was a fucking nightmare. Took forever to park. Ended up just walking like a mile and a half. The line to get in was unreal. We got lucky and a friend got us in quickly, but it was snaking through a ton of those barrier things and all the way out the door even about an hour before close. Idk, that was just my experience.
Haha thanks for the warning! I wasn't going to make it anyway because it's short notice, but I'll take your experience into consideration the next time this event comes around.
Brooklyn Fire & Ice on at Liquor Lyles and only $2 a pint.
I love Liquor Lyles.
I'll be there
The wife and I are going to this tonight - I'll report back.
"Where the wild beers are" will be there there!
+ infinity. Planning on being there
We should have name tags made up: "Hi, my screen name is _____ & I, too, live in the crappy beer & restaurant wasteland that is Eagan." Good beer & good food on every corner might be the only thing I miss about St. Paul!
Kind of a fun event if you want to see the Museum. We were there from 6-8:30ish... More and More people as the evening went on. As one could imagine, routine beers to be sampled (one gets 10, 3 oz pours)... If you are looking to visit the museum it's a great way to do it. Some interesting demos on fermentation, yeast, hops, beer density etc... It reminded me of a "Beakmans World" for beer. Entire museum was open for roaming - just no little ones running around. Great volunteers - Fun talking to the NBA guys....
And for all you Sour folks - Where the Wild beers are was There - With some good Sour info - Including some info on 2014 Minneapolis festival...
BWAHAHA... I used to live in Eagan and Lone Oak Grill has always been improving. Stopped in there on a whim and they had Jewbelation on tap last year - ever since then, that place has had more and more solid offerings... Never crowded for some reason - and outdoor Bocci!
I enjoyed the event last year. Has a date been set?
That's because their food is mediocre at best. Take the short drive south to the Valley Tap House - good food and beer.
Not yet - Still the TBA Fall 2014. If ya want the flyer they were handing out - I'd be happy to e-mail it to ya - just shoot me a message
You could live in Farmington
I really like the food at Lone Oak, but the food at the Valley Tap House is outstanding. I'd give Lone Oak a slight edge in quality of beer, though Valley Tap House has a lot more options.
