Ready? BCBS on at Billy's on Grand, $8 for 12 oz. Tender said it was "last year's," whatever she thinks or has been told that means.
Harriet' Divine Resolution is on at Blue Nile. The spicing on this hits a perfect balance.
Anyone know if anything happened at Indeed Recently. Went there around 3pm today and they were "at capacity". Didn't appear busy at all, there was a lot of standing room, had a waiting list to get into the taproom. Haven't seen anything like it
I've seen it happen at Indeed and Dangerous Man. They can only have so many people in at a time to be within fire code limits.
I understand Fire code, but it didn't appear very busy, also, if you are at capacity at 3pm on a Saturday , things must get rough 8-close
Holy cow, I didn't mean to be a dick, but I belted right by, while she was talking to a party of four. I saw the hall full, as well. I just thought that they started something for people who wanted a table. I walked right in and there was a stool at the bar. I have put on concerts in clubs and there is no way that room was anywhere near capacity for it's size, but there may be special rules for tap rooms. I only stayed for a short one, but until this post, it never even crossed my mind that there could be a capacity issue. In fact the bartenders practically looked bored with how slow the orders were coming in.
I totally walked by her and she called me back. I was so confused
I just got back from Billy's on Grand, and they confirmed it was 2012. They also had Founders Breakfast Stout, ST Choklat, and a few other notables. The bartender said BCBS has been on for about three weeks. From what I observed, their patrons were mostly consuming Red Bull and Vodka or Mich Golden Light. It should be around for a bit longer. At $8 for 12 oz., it is worth a trip.
This sounds great! You should offer a shuttle from one of the local church parking lots- if you know what I mean! either way, I will be there!
This is at muddy waters at lake and lyndale (today) right?
Anyone have a Happy Gnome report?
Yep, sorry it didn't occur to me that the location isn't mentioned at all on that poster...
I was there earlier for lunch. Great lineup!
Tomorrow they tap CW BBBW and CW BBS. I'm guessing it will be pricey but delicious
Buffalo tap has Founders Imp Stout ($8.25 for 12 oz and $10.50 for 16 oz) and Ten Fidy ($1 per oz!). I stuck with Lag Sucks in bottles.
Was at Groveland Tap on Saturday, balked at the prices for Stout Week and had a couple Sucks for $4 each instead.
The Nova in Hudson is tapping a BA Lift Bridge Silhouette tonight at 4
Just posted on FB!
The Town Hall Tap
Just tapped Town Hall Raspberry Chocolate Jack Frost!
There were some CO2 issues earlier, but everything is pouring fine at the red Cow anniversary. Had Surly's Viking, BCBS, and Indeed's Rum King.
Just got home from there, so happy I got to try Rum King. We missed just missed it Saturday at Indeed. Wish I had gotten some bottles now.
Anyone know of any Founders Smoked Porter tappings?
It was at MacKenzie's. It's tapping along with Sweet Repute next Tuesday at Happy Gnome. Currently CW BBBW pours are 7$/10oz at the Gnome.
Lowry Thusday March 20th at 5pm.
Did i miss the boat on Plead the 5th tappings??
There are a couple of Destihl tappings coming up. Midweek Beer Geek at The Nomad next Wednesday at 6pm is Destihl Abbey's single. March 6th at 4pm Pig and Fiddle Ambassador, Vertex IPA, Hoperation Double IPA, and Antiquity Barrel Aged Rye Wine, March 7th 5pm Stub and Herbs Vertex IPA, Tenebrous Black Rye IPA, 120 Schilling Scotch Ale.
Or bottles? Saw this was out in Michigan but haven't seen it around here yet, though I have tried to stay out of liquor stores for the past week or so.
The bartender told me they only have a couple gallons left so get there soon.
I haven't seen anything. I rarely hear any rumblings from them anymore around here..
Anybody who hasn't had Rosie's Old Ale from Barley John's, hie your ass hither. The best beer made in Minnesota since '07 Darkness.
Yeah that stuff is amazing!! I was so impressed with it that I spent the insane amount they were asking for a growler. I'm actually drinking a glass of it right now at home and watching the U.S. hockey team dominate. Couldn't get any better.
Darkness on tap at the Timberwolves game tonight! Crazy.
Stopped at barley johns tonight. Rosie's was phenomenal. However, that glass made me so nervous
If so, that is quite an upgrade from the last time I was at 600 First Avenue.
Yep! 12oz. pours for $10. Not bad for a sporting event. Talked to someone who does their marketing at the game. Sounds like they're going to have a "beer of the game" in 8 more games this season. Cocao Bender and Abrasive were mentioned for future games.
The Happy Gnome is tapping Smoked Porter & Sweet Repute on Tuesday, Feb. 25th @ 5pm
I'm hoping it will stick around for another two weeks since I'm going up there for my birthday.
It well might. When I stopped in Monday, one of the employees said they made 200 gallons & about half of it was left. That's a lot of beer at 6 oz. a crack.
Might make me attend my first TWolves game in 8 or 9 years. Twins okay with their offerings and the Wild have Summit EPA, so pro sporting events have definitely stepped up their game.
You can buy cans of Surly at Wild games now. They have some other decent taps on the lower and club levels too. Unfortunately theirs not much to be had on the upper level other than Summit EPA bottles and the occasional random craft beer at the beer carts (ex. Lucid Foto, misc Flat Earth offerings, etc.)
