Just got back from visiting my brother. We had a four-day long tasting:
Here are some from the last East Bay tasting.
Trying to introduce family to beer
4th of july eve, two man tasting by the pool
easily the best beer of the night, which says a lot
nothing like destroying your palate to end the night
An upcoming tasting in about a week or two...Waiting on an Apple Brandy Huna...
This is what happens late at night in east county when MarkIntihar comes to town.
Big stout tasting with some intermittent sours thrown in to mix it up.

Nothing too crazy, but pretty solid tasting! Mostly stouts obviously. The Bourbon Vanilla DL seemed to be the winner out of the stouts. Chocolate Rain came in second and the BCS Vanilla and Berserker tied for 3rd. The Lente was phenomenal and the Cantillons were exquisite as expected.

Let's all move to San Diego and just have EPIC tastings all the time!
Only 2 or 3 of those bottles are actually FROM SoCal, so they wouldn't be THAT epic....

Haha, no worries. Were these the bottles that were going to be for the BA Hunahpu thing Justin was trying to get together?
so glad I was out of town to miss that one... going to a closet to cry
edit: at least I was in Phoenix, which we all know has a way better beer scene, so in reality I WIN...right?
Without a doubt the Apple Brandy that beer is just insane. I honestly can't see a beer being better it has so much depth of flavors
It was for Justin's rum bottle. I have another growler of AB huna coming Saturday that will be used for a tasting
So my buddy who's no longer active on BA is getting married on Saturday. We had ourselves a pre-wedding tasting:
Every Friday afternoon to end the work week a few coworkers & I get together and each bring a bottle of something to taste. Nothing rare, but it's usually a good line up. Here's today's line up. Not bad way to start the weekend.
Left to right:
Stillwater Artisanal - Foklore
Lips of Faith Brett Beer
Russian River - Pliny
FFF - Mutiny and the Mollusk
FFF - Apocalypse Cow
First round of the tasting from last night. Second round today.
