I had the Biscotti last weekend. it is great, but not worth the ridiculous price. make sure you have some desserts. it was fantastic with some cookies.

Found a new grocery carrying craft beer in Memphis today. It's called Cash Saver, and it's a discount grocery with ridiculous beer prices. They sell all their merchandise at cost + 10%, but for beer they sell at 3% below cost + 10% of the adjusted price! I picked up to mix-n-match 6ers for $16 and change. I'd already had 3 by the time I took this picture. The missing brews are Shiner Premium, Seadog Blueberry, and Scrimshaw Pils. If you live in the Memphis area, I'm posting a new Beer store on the BA site with pics of the beers in stock, so head's up! I met the Beer Dept. manager and he told me they're looking into possibly installing a growler system to distribute Ghost River, as well as 3 new breweries opening later this year: High Cotton, WISEACRE, and Memphis Made.

I paid $20 for the Iris, $12 for the Gueze, and $14.50 each for the Rose. Brooklyn Larder.
  37. Crookdrain

Crookdrain Savant (495) New York Jan 13, 2010 Verified

I should add that Larder only had the Gueze and Rose, and when I went last night at 6:30, there were maybe 3 left of each.

The Iris I got at another bottle shop that only got 6 in. There's some Cantillon floating around NYC right now, it seems like Shelton Brothers just randomly sent 12 bottles (6 of the Gueze and 6 of another random style) to some of their better accounts. Some shops are posting it (and selling out fast), some you have to just call to get an answer. I know that City Swiggers had 750's of Gueze for $25 and Kriek for $40. Bierkraft sold out of all the Gueze they had but told me they expect another small shipment, possibly today. Guy told me there's a 50/50 chance it's Kriek (although he told me he heard that Torst got like 4 cases of Kriek).

Good luck! BM me if you're having trouble finding some.
