I think Craftsman's Ale House in Harrison, NY had bottles of Zhukov for $30...
Yeesh, isn't that over double the price?
Yeah! It's the same price as Mexican Cake.
http://i.imgur.com/oyPLoqc.png this just all showed up at my office. All at one time
Sorry for the shitty pic, hard to get it all in one
Just let me know what time to meet in the conference room. I'll be sure to come empty, ready to be filled up....with creative solutions, of course.
At Craftsman's you're getting the bar price, and it's the closest place to CT that has. A couple of places have gotten bottles in NYC, but they're gone by now. Paid $18 for one in Queens and $15 in Manhattan.
Yeah, screw that. haha, I'd rather pay shipping and do a good trade that will benefit me and another regular Joe instead of a ridiculous markup. The search continues!
Was a beer store still selling BCBS? Can't find any in MD
I was just in NYC this week for work and Top Hops has a lot of BCBS regular. Some pretty good other stuff too like Central Waters Bourbon Scotch Ale.
Yeah, a few places have them. Want some? I'm coming down to Baltimore next weekend...
Ill mssg u
A sweet surprise box from @wcu80. You are so getting bombed, Allen!
Nice box from @dsigmon
Fruits of my labor--10 hours of driving back and forth to Decorah! Not all of us go rock-star style like @BourbonBob
Yes, it was all limit 4, but not complaining, love that TG!
I'll be in NYC for Labor Day, if you could give me the names of some stores to check out, I'd appreciate it.
Nothing too crazy this week.
2x BBA Black Maple
2x BBA Dark Apparition
4x Pappy Van Winkle Aged Triple Digit Aftermath Wee Heavy (Local guys doing incredible beer)
All cans were extras.
Enjoyable Friday beer run, the 32 oz. is Lagunitas Sucks. Auditioning the Bear Republic as a fridge regular. (It's half the price of some stouts and still really solid)
I picked up some pretty good stuff over the last couple of days....
The Holy City 'Honeycomb Over' DIPA is a brand new beer released today in honor of Charleston's Total Wine 10th anniversary.
Earlier this afternoon, Charleston Beer Exchange announced that these goodies came in today. Lunch in SC?!? I can't wait to try this one for the first time!
A few more to end the week.
Glassware and beer trade
Thanks to my buddy for some bonus Texas goodies

Couldn't ask for a better trade partner and friend. Thanks @MarcWP
Picked up a few things over the past week. The Mother of all Storms were from a trade (with the Furious x2, Two Hearted x2, and others as extras). The Temptation and Cantillon were from a local store.
Holy ish! Was that pic taken with a beeper?!
Toast to cyrushire
How much was the cherry rye?
The beers I'd shipped to myself from my road trip westward came in today. Needless to say, I'm very excited to start drinking them!
Small - but last two times TG came to town....
Kulshan RIS, Vietnamesse SS, Florence, Edward, Harlan, Vera Mae and a 4 pack of Heady. It was a pretty good day for beer.
They look so pretty together. Last year there were 2 batches of Zhukov. The first batch had a portion that under attenuated. That small amount became Cafe Americano. Once it was barrel aged they changed the name to Caffe Americana. Anyhow, I digress. Because of the re-purposing of the first batch they choose to brew a second batch. Although I'm not 100% sure, I do believe I sent you a second batch bottle. Cheers!
I just got home from a 3,000 mile road trip across the Northwest and managed to find some incredible beer. I also was able to complete an IP trade in Seattle with one of the coolest BAs I have ever met - @silkyjaguar
The below images may be unsettling to some viewers....
Not pictured is an 8pk of Kettlehouse Cold Smoke, a 6pk of Fremont Summer Ale, a 6pk of Hell or High Watermelon, a 4pk of 3-Way IPA, several growlers, and a few other odds and ends.
Picked up these in my shop
Madrid mini haul
First box thanks to Adam.
Second Box thanks to @mattvandyk
Last box thanks to my buddy Patrick coming back from VT.
Ha! Great trading with you, @KRG ! I too made a little visit to New England this week:
How often do you travel between Madrid and California?
Left New Jersey at 4:30am yesterday morning, arrived at Hill Farmstead at 10:30am, finding ourselves 3rd on line. Not only were they mad efficient yesterday, but let us in early (11:45am) and began serving tastings and filling growlers. We got folks in line to help us out with bottle purchases, and then HF let us fill more than 3 growlers each! Done by 12:30pm, crazy fast. Brilliant lunch at Parker Pie, domed a 2010 sticker Lou Pepe Gueuze with our Green Mountain pizza, then boogied on down to Tree House to load up and head home.
78 bottles/growlers of beer
17 total hours in a car or on line
728 miles traveled in a single day to buy beer
This is my half of the haul. @acurtis can take his own damn pictures
