There was a clear cut # 1 box (Box14), way to go Djmichaelk! There were many close races that ended in totals differing only by a few points. We also had a tie between myself and Mista for 4th. This resulted in an epic rock/paper/scissor match refereed by Bauermj in which paper was sent by both participants in the first 2 rounds and ended with a victory by me over Mista in the 3rd round. All of the boxes were absolutely stellar!! With that being said, someone has to be first and someone has to be last. And here are the results!!

    Box 1: 5,5,1,2,1,2,2,2,3,10,9,2,2 =48 (2nd)
    Box 2: 12,9,12,6,6,11,7,7,13,13,13,13,14,11 =147 (13th)
    Box 3: 4,4,4,4,4,4,3,8,7,8,5,6,4,5 =70(4th – won tie with Mista)
    Box 4: 5,10,6,5,5,5,4,5,4,4,9,1,3,4 =70 (5th)
    Box 5: 13,13,12,13,13,13,13,12,10,11,14,12,12,13 =174 (14th)

    Box 9: 2,3,3,3,3,9,3,5,5,2,2,7,1,3 =51 (3rd)
    Box 10: 14,14,14,14,14,14,14,9,14,12,12,11,11,14 =181 (15th)

Congrats Djmichaelk, definitely a top notch box.

Interesting results on this one. Not sure I'll do round 2 but fun to see play out. Good idea fortsambo. I'm pretty disappointed with how my box placed, a last place vote certainly didn't help.

I had no idea the caliber of these boxes. I know now that to participate in one of these my box has to be 90% whalez. I thought top notch stuff would get it done but alas, not true! :)

If I were a betting man I would say that a lot of people won't be shipping and will be keeping their own box...

So I went into nerd mode and calculated the mean and statistical variance for each of the boxes. I boldfaced the three boxes whose rankings had the highest variance (mine, BauerMJ, and Bulbman).

    BOX#|Mean|Variance|(Actual Rank)
    Box 1: 3.43 7.53 (2)
    Box 2: 10.5 7.82 (13)
    Box 3: 5.0 2.43 (4*)
    Box 4: 5.0 4.71 (5*)
    Box 5: 12.4 0.96 (14)
    Box 6: 5.71 3.06 (6)
    Box 7: 5.92 11.5 (7)
    Box 8: 8.57 9.24 (8)
    Box 9: 3.64 4.37 (3)
    Box 10: 12.9 2.5 (15)
    Box 11: 9.71 6.48 (11)
    Box 12: 9.86 6.41 (12)
    Box 13: 9.14 1.70 (9)
    Box 14: 1.42 0.53 (1)

Sorry about not chiming in yesterday, currently recovering from a 3-day bender. I think even my hair hurts. Opened a bunch of huge bottles over the weekend & now have a boatload of entries to add to my shitty blog.

While there are a number of boxes in this thing that I'd love to have, sadly I'll be choosing mine. I think I overshot the mark a little on this one, packing way too much into a single box in my OCD-ness. (I had 9-1-4 as my 1-2-3, great job to BeerThirty, readbaron, and Mista!)

Funnily enough, while grading/ranking the boxes, I was taking guesses at who submitted each one. I was wrong on just about all of them. You guys did a great job of mixing things up to keep it from being obvious.

Anyway after thinking about it waaay too much - I'm going to go with Box #9.

So, put down the pitchforks and carry on with the drafting.

    Cheers!
