Pic of my collection from a year ago, it has got to be twice this size by now
You won't be disappointed my man!
No way man don't resist! I've seen the pictures of your impressive glassware collection, you and I both know that it wouldn't be complete with a set of Yeti glasses, pull the trigger!
Pretty sure I got that from http://www.goodguycomics.com. Neat site, horrific customer service. (Also fairly pricy.)
Damn, those are a bit pricey . . . but to have a Zelda and Star Wars pint glasses? Might be worth it one day.
Found this monstrosity at Goodwill yesterday...oh yes...
If you go to a particularly beer minded bar that also has vendors dropping swag off all the time... they'll often just give them to you.
I have a set up just like Stupac2. All of my glasses are set up on a shelf and they are all glasses that I got when I visited a certain brewery. And to satisfy my OCD I have them organized by the first brewery I visited to the most recent one I visited.
It looks like a Goose Island glass but I could be wrong.
What do you put in a teku glass? I just got this one at the Dissident release in Portland. My Deschutes collection is complete.
My awesome Kuhnhenn Brewing snifter, courtesy of travMI13 - thanks!
In theory, everything. Interestingly enough, the Teku (Teo Musso + Kuaska) was developed to be an industry standard glass that could be used for the sensory analysis of all beer styles, similar to the ISO wine glass.
I really like that glass.
Bought all of these for a total of $7 at Goodwill.
I like the ice cream shoppe glass on the left, that's pretty slick!
I thought so, makes a nice Pils glass.
Since I'm so cool I "run" (mostly drunked posting) a beer glass blog called GLASSWHALES where I post pictures of my collection. It's mostly updated while drinking so picture quality can be questionable. http://glasswhales.tumblr.com/
I have so many glasses I have this http://www.ikea.com/us/en/images/products/billy-bookcase-with-glass-doors__0132311_PE287094_S4.JPG filled in my dining room with LED backlights and I will need a second one shortly. I'm starting to think I have a problem.
wow, cool info. that iso glass appears to be the same as the cantillon zwanze glass.
My favorite tasters. Yes that is a miller chill glass on the left. Got it free at a bar demo when the beer first came out and its actually a pretty nice little glass.
A bunch of glasses my mom picked up at a garage sale for me. They were only like 50 cents each or something and they are all really nice.
A very thick and heavy goblet from world market or somewhere like that. I don't really use it much but like it for its size and looks.
From the buckeye beer engine. They had a breakfast a few years ago and they served Founders KBS and CBS in these glasses and you could buy them afterwards for a few bucks. Not sure if these are just their regular coffee mugs or not.
Neat idea. I may have to copycat it.
The beer engine mug looks appropriate!
I took some stuff to salvation army last night, and while I was there I decided to look through the glasses. I found a Delirium Tremens glass like yours for 79 cents. I picked it up and I can't wait to find something to drink it in. The crazy thing is you can't even get Delirium in Ontario.
I like your Erdinger glass. I actually have 3 of those. Two I got from work christmas parties (one like yours and one that says 125 years in German). I also have a world cup one where the top is like a soccer ball. Maybe I will take some pictures of my collection tonight.
I love that Hill Farmstead glass though. I was there last year and my one regret from that whole trip to vermont is not picking up a hill farmstead glass. Although by the time we went to the brewery we were way over budget for that trip already.
I got this glass from an awesome Maine trader. It's one of my favorites but I rarely use it because I don't want to wear it down:
(Dirty Horse probably once inhabited this glass, as it was tapped at the 6th )
ISO: awesome Kuhnhenn Brewing snifter!!!
Recent additions, now putting me over 300 total items:
Not yet pictured: tulip glass, and I think I may have gotten the last one in existence.
Got to love Goodwill. I have found a few steals there myself
And to think I live just blocks from this majestic glass storage.....
I think it's filled out a bit since then too. So many glasses...
Finally got my collection filled with all the glasses I was ISO the most, and this is what I got!
Stems (and FFF pint - that gets a LOT of use)
The rest (snifters+)
The only things that would make it complete would be a Cantillon tulip and a 3F Gueuze glass, but not in a rush for either. Cheers!
I'll try to get a pic of my collection to post here, but heres what I got
Picked up from the Brewery Themselves:
4 Duvel Tulip Glasses
1 Cantilion Guize Glass
2 Westvleteren Chalices
1 Orval Chalice
1 Delirium Tulip Glass
1 La Guillotine Glass
1 heineken glass
Picked up elsewhere
1 Boston Lager Glass
1 Chimey Glass
1 Maredsous Glass
Might be more, need to check when I get home. hopefully will take a pic to post
My favorite glasses:
Both versions of Goose Island's Matilda glass (silver goose, none of that black goose knock off BS):
FFF teku glasses:
Hill Farmstead Stemmed glass:
Surly Darkness snifter (my favorite glassware piece, hands down):
KTG Glass, courtest of an amazing BA:
Half Acre's gorgeous tulip:
Comically huge CBS snifter:
And a glass you can only see behind my other glasses because I am too lazy to take a new pic of it, my Westy 12 Chalic:
Do you have any evidence that the black is a knock off? I got one from a goose island distributor rep I believe at a beer fest for buying some goose Island. I really doubt someone working for the company in some capacity would be giving away knockoffs.
The one sold at the brewpub is silver. I think silver was temporarily retired
For some reason and replaced with black gold. It's a joke among me and friends that black goose is a knock off, so bad inside joke
ISO: Cantilion Guize glass!!!
Here is my collection. I reorganized them on the weekend and it has gotten to the point I think, where unless a glass is really cool or different I have to scale back a bit.
The first two photos are of the ones I use most frequently. I love the hofbrau glass since one of my local breweries puts everything in 600ml bottles and that glass easily holds 600ml:
These ones are up top because I just like to show them off:
Pint Glasses, with sample glasses on the end:
Lager glasses, hefe glasses, stemware and my wife's cider glasses:
Mugs and two giant Newcastle glasses I got for like a buck at a garage sale:
My gf surprised me with this today!
EDIT: forgot to mention she free-handed the engraving. she's so crafty!
Glass whales! Do want!
