For some reason, I can't see your pic until I hit the "Reply" button.
Found these in store today. Up until now I've had to order everything online.
These came in the mail. Love the Local Option glass. Love that place. Tekus are the best.
A couple more due in via the mail.
This one specifically:
Tots and brews at the bar at Local Option. The "Christmas Leroy" was not in said glass, but another identical "Leroy" glass is headed my way. Memories of an awesome trip to Chicago.
Now just need to work on those Mikeller glasses.
I didn't have anything to do yesterday so I took pics of all of my glassware.
ISO: Tater Tots!
I remember a while ago at a breweriana fest, a guy told me he had over 800 pieces of glassware in his collection. I thought that was insane at the time. But now, as my second cabinet is pretty much full, that lofty quantity doesn't seem too far off. Nor do divorce papers, which I expect will be served to me any day.
You gonna eat your tots?
Been trying to get my hands on one of these for awhile -- finally showed up today!
This is... different.
Got these in the mail today. Deschutes Teku.
I really like this glass:
Got it in a BIF yesterday, really weird and funny.
Did you order those from Deschutes?
No, they don't have any for sale yet. My brother got them from someone at the brewery for me.
Oh, very cool. According to a rep they'll be on sale online eventually. Fingers crossed.
I haven't had Lucifer in forever that glass rules...2nd place the pint of Voorheeeeeeeeeees!!!!
My Bruery glass just bit the dust.
Had one beer from it, washed it by hand and put it on the counter to dry. A couple seconds later I hear a little "pop" and there is a crack running up the sides from around where the stem meets the bottom of the snifter. WTF. I thought Rastal was decent.
Bummed as I have some Bruery beers lined up and ready to go over the holidays.
Did you use hot water? If so, that's probably why.
(see: thermal shock)
I would drop Bruery a little note let them know about the tragedy. Maybe they would be nice enough to send a replacement .
I have a Lucifer also, my favorite.
If that was true my wines glasses and other breweriana should have suffered similar fates. No?
Sometimes it happens, sometimes not. I guess it depends on the integrity of the glass and the extremities of the temperature. You just have to be careful...if there was a cool/cold beer in the glass and you douse it with hot water, there's a chance you're gonna break the glass. I accidentally lost a ceramic pitcher this way just yesterday (water was too hot). And if you were sold a glass with a slight weakness in it, it's likely that the shock just got the best of it.
Etched glasses are my new favorite
Much better than silk-screened glasses. You don't have to worry about anything washing off!
I'd much rather have that than the 3F or Lost Abbey ones (as Deschutes actually distributes here!) I can see me being all boss drinkin' BBXXIV out of it right now...
Sucks man, I've washed mine a TON and I haven't had any problems. I usually wash it in really hot water too. Maybe someone near the Bruery can ship you one?
Picked up this gem today!
That's awesome. I have never seen that before.
Send me your address and another one will be on the way. Nothing due in return.
oh my lord that is gorgeous
Ok, its official. Everyone is jealous. There are 7 pictures of this glass now (including my last post)
^ I want some.
Gots me a pair of these -
Get 'em while you can, the brewery's getting sued by Bosteels over that glass. Specifically the wooden holder which they claim is their own invention. Utter crap of course. http://blog.beergusto.com/2012/12/07/beer-brand-kwak-corne-du-bois-des-pendus/
